I bought some Dip n Grow today and when I read the instructions 2 things, this stuff is dangerous to use (thinking of using something else) and how do I determine if cuttings are hardwood, semi-hardwood or softwood/succulents more over what does those terms mean as applied to mj ?

google what you dont understand beyond, Dip and Grow.. not trying to be ignorant but that is what you do. take your clone, dip it in the jell and put it in your system. If you dont know, google and read..

2 things i found out to be of great success or failure points to clones. Temp and PH. I was using those 2 prong ph testers but those go bad so fast i would NOT recomend them, i use a heating pad with a clone thermostate and the 3-4 drop method for PH and stay at 6. i made 16 clones just over 2 weeks ago, not one died, 2 have rooted and gone into 5 gal pots.

probably didn't make myself clear, sorry about that, it says put in power to line, then if hardwood add water to 5x line, if semi=hardwood to 10x, softwood/suculents 20x..... those terms as they apply to mj is where I have a problem....

I believe you should use the formula for soft wood which is pretty diluted. I had terible luck with dip and grow. I have tried two gels with mediocre results. I now only use Rootone powder and get close to 100%. I also root in peet. good luck hope this helps.
