Temperature questions?

i have recently moved my plants into a grow tent in my attic. It is getting cold out at night so the temperature drops at night drastically. currently it stays 73-75 during the day but at night it goes down to 63-65 degrees. Will they be OK with these temps? if not could you give me some tips on improving the surrounding room so that the temp will be steady. the attic is not insulated. :wall:

Ten degree differences are acceptable, but if it's getting colder you may run into problems. I just love those oil filled radiator style heaters with thermostats. No fire risk and fairly efficient. They'll do a great job mitigating nightime temps.

.. you could run your lights at night .. and use the daytime as your dark to keep them warm

Insulate your loft...

Only cost me a few hundred to do mine and it's a foot thick insulation. Probably saved me thousands by now.

A quality space heater as mentioned or depending on your lighting, run the lights during the night time cold.

Edit: already mentioned about light schedule change too. I guess I am
slow after medicating.

I keep a climate controlled bioaire heater/fan in my tent for those cold nights set it at 74 degrees keeps my tent around 73 at night and only kicks on maybe 5-6 a night.

if it's got a red led power on light cover it or you're going to get hermies.

insulate with cardboard then strap it around ur tent and eh presto ! the homeless ere in london get through are harsh winters we have in cardboard boxes, so if it keeps them warm on the streets in minus god nows what then it should sort ur problem out no end ! plus its free from ur local shops etc !

Thanks for all the advice. I believe i will draping a large quilt over the tent. If that does not work then i will get a small space heater. im on a budget so insulating the entire attic will never happen lol But i guess itll just be trial and error for a short while.
