Do Multiple Recommendations allow for a Larger Grow?

Hey guys! This is my first post on this website, but I have been a grower for a little over 3 years. So me and my roommate both have recommendations, but does that mean we are able to ligaly grow twice the amount of herb? It is something I have wondered for years, yet never really got a solid answer. I live in California.

look up your laws? Does it say you can only grow so much per residence? Instead of relying on some random person on a forum to tell you whats legal and whats not...don't you think you'd have a better understanding if you read the laws on it?

4. Possession Guidelines:

a) MMP:2 Qualified patients and primary caregivers who possess a state issued identification card may possess 8 oz. of dried marijuana, and may
maintain no more than 6 mature or 12 immature plants per qualified patient.

(§ 11362.77(a).) But, if “a qualified patient or primary caregiver has a
doctor’s recommendation that this quantity does not meet the qualified
patient’s medical needs, the qualified patient or primary caregiver may
possess an amount of marijuana consistent with the patient’s needs.”

(§ 11362.77(b).) Only the dried mature processed flowers or buds of the
female cannabis plant should be considered when determining allowable
quantities of medical marijuana for purposes of the MMP. (§ 11362.77(d).)

b) Local Possession Guidelines: Counties and cities may adopt
regulations that allow qualified patients or primary caregivers to possess medical marijuana in amounts that exceed the MMP’s possession
guidelines. (§ 11362.77(c).)

c) Proposition 215: Qualified patients claiming protection under
Proposition 215 may possess an amount of marijuana that is “reasonably
related to [their] current medical needs.” (People v. Trippet (1997) 56
Cal.App.4th 1532, 1549.)

So according to the CA State Department of Justice, **EACH** of you can legally possess 6 mature plants (or 12 immature ones. . .its not clear to me that these two numbers are additive).

If your medical condition requires it, and especially if you have written recommendation from a physician stipulating so, you might individually be legally able to have more plants up to your "need".

Also, in certain jurisdictions within CA, you might individually be legally able to have more.

Thanks Jorgo for the response. I live in a county that goes by the standard 6 mature, 12 immature, but that is still good to know that it counts for each of us.
