I did say Advanced was better, and if you think Blackstar is high quality, then you havent had a good LED light, its made cheaply and without going into greater detail, left me with fear of failure and bottom line did not do what it claimed in my experience. Multiple overhead lights can create a third light of sorts, but will also create uneven growth, which can create a problem, especially in a scrog type grow or bigger. He was referring to supplementing a 24" x 6" grow with CFLs, if thats needed, then I think most growers first response would be you need a bigger light, no matter the light source, please correct me if Im wrong... Im not hating on Advanced at all, in fact they do make a BETTER light than most of the junk on the market, but there is better and more advanced technology, which is changing all the time, being that LED grow lights are still an emerging technology, thats why all Im recommending is to do a little more research. Im not advertising for Hydro-Grow, it was my choice for my style grow, and my budget. It was an example and by no means a THIS IS THE BEST LIGHT scenario. I was just saying that after a lot of research and trial and error, buying a well built, up to date (technology wise) and well designed light was WELL worth the money and research I went through. There is a lot more to consider when plopping down a chunk of cash on a light then what the best output and spectrum is. How about serviceability, longevity, the quality, style and material of lenses, heatsinks and other internal parts, power consumption ratios, heat dispersion etc..etc..etc..
