Black Widow from Mr Nice

Just received some Mr Nice Black Widow seeds from The Attitude Seed Bank and have some germinating. I've read what is available on this particular strain and it sounds like it's a very potent strain. I noticed that it's both Sativa and Indica genetically.

Has anyone cultivated this strain and able to comment on it, both from a growing standpoint as well as final curing and smoking?

Black Widow is the original White Widow; a Brazilian x South Indian hybrid, as far as I know...it was renamed by the breeder because of all the White Widow knockoffs floating around. Personally, I am not a fan of WW, but to be fair, I never had the original Black Widow...

Years ago, a co-worker has some smoke that he called Black Widow. He only had it for a short time, but I remember it well. They were all dark in color and very dense. They also didn't have any crystals visible on the outside of the nugs and they didn't smell at all. I remember thinking that they were going to be shit because of that reason, but the smoke was fire and everyone that smoked it got fucked up.

Just finished abouit 6 females outside, late fall yield, curing it now. I'll pop in and let ya know in a few days when it's ready.

Nice Wheezer, this one from Mr Nice is on my short list, was told it can stretch like crazy though and it takes a good 10 weeks to flower?

I've got a mostly sativa hybrid pheno in day 62 of flower. Its so sticky its unreal. It takes a full 70 to flower normally but my trichs aren't cloudy at all yet.. I just tried a little tonight from a bud halfway up the plant and she's already very strong. (relaitively soaring high that lasted for about 2 hours. And thats not cured or even dried very much..) The only problem is that the instability of the strain can give you a lot of different kinds of plants as well as males since its not feminized. So its tough to have the patience to find the perfect one. I found my perfect pheno with about 70% sativa in it. The quality of the genetics is pretty staggering, if you get a female it has zero chance of not impressing you. She's the best widow in the world hands down. The only "real" one in actuality..

Mr Nice strains i've grown/smoked have all been kick ass, potent, big yielding strains. However, recently been getting hermies. Not just me. Check out many hermie reports at Mr Nice forums, on the Black Widow also, though i've no personal experience with BW.

Mr. Nice bred White Widow back in the day and the Black Widow is his true genetic. This strain can do damage, I had a pal who had a mini panic attack after smoking some crossed Black Widow and Blueberry and had to lie down for 10 minutes, hahaha.
The smoke has a sweet taste to it almost like tang and it's smooth.
There are harder plants out there to grow than this. At 65 days you should see a trich overload and they should all get cloudy by day 70-72 days.

i just finished 2 of these and took a bunch of clones off one.pretty easy to grow and very fuckin strong.you need vertical space to do them right imo and they get huge with an 8wk veg.i'll be keeping the clones around for a long time.they took my topping well and didnt need alot of nutes,kinda picky as a matter of fact.ill try to load some pics,but it did nt work a few weeks back:(nope,i used to load pics here.wtf did you guys do:wall:
