Is a seed dropped from a plant a new life with new genetics?

Will a seed dropped from a slow growing plant have the same genetics or is it a totally new life. I know a clone would be the same obviously but what about a seed?

The plant was left outdoors unattended to and produced 2 seeds along with a bit of bud so it must of hermied

I think it will have the same genetics but not a clone, meaning it could be a different pheno.

so do you think it would be a slow grower like the plant it was from? thats the reason this plant ended up outside as it was getting left behind in the medium and decided to remove it for more space.

Well I certainly wouldn't expect it to be a fast grower.

Well yes but as this was in a pack with the same seeds, has the same soil, had the same pot and was directly under the light i think not on this occasion. i wasnt talking about it being an inch or so smaller. I mean the other 5 were like a foot or more taller with well developed branches and this was small and scrawney but it did look healthy weirdly.

Tis the life of a plant...every plant is different...there could have been something retarding the root growth like some hotspot of nutes or something...so saying they were in the same soil, same light, same everything is actually not the case...in the same type of soil yes, in the same area of light yes, but the variances in growth will do random things

Totally agree bro but just saying i done everything the same as i possibly could, hopefully it was just something restricting the root system. I've popped this mother anyway which hope it is a female. Should be tho, dont hermie plants drop feminised seeds?????

normally yes, but there are many people who say hermi's breed hermi's...*shrug*
