Can someone please HELP ME.My seeding are dieing this is the second time and i don't know why i use the method i away use and have not had problems tell now.I am running in pro mix soil-less with organic earth juice nutes.Plants are 14 days old i use dissstilled bottle water and yes i have tds and a pH tester , temps are 70 to 81 .I have them under a 400w mh for veg light is at about 26 inch from plant and it is a air cooled light i gave vary light nutes at 10 days 1/4 what it said and i let it sit for two days in water so ph would rise.i admit i did not test water ph but like i said i used earth juice with distilled water a few time before on grows and never have had a problem and i never even corrected ph then. Please if any of you vet growers can give me any advise i would be grateful.I have many books and this is filth grow so i know a little not a lot lol. ...when your growing a seedling, you typically start in a very small pot because of the small root system. If the root system isn't large enough for the pot, the soil will not dry out correctly....the bottom of the pot will stay soaked, turning your soil to muck, which in turn strangle your roots out of oxygen.....


..."when to water" can be tricky. I suggest you use one of the two techniques. 1) ...stick your finger 1 inch down into the soil, if it is moist, your soil doesn't need any water....wait until it is dry 1 inch down. 2) Learn the 'lift method', take an empty pot and fill with an equal amout of soil straight from the bag as the plant in question...before you add any water, lift the pot ...that's your 'dry weight'....don't water your plant until they meet the 'dry weight'.

Yes i already do this it was dry two inch down and i started in cups in doom with heat pad for first 8 days. Like i said i have many books and have grown before.i guess the over watering is posible just not vary likely in my book i guess my best bet would to repant in new pots.making sure everything is perfect.thank you vary much for your input.

....hold on, I wouldn't do anything....let them dry, they need very little water in your pot size, at that age....no transplant....let them dry, I'm betting they will clear right up for ya.

OK ill wait im just worried becuse i thot it was a ph problem so i flushed each plant with gal of 6.0 ph water. the run off tds was 306 run off of water was 5.9 ph witch is good for soil-less rite?Anyway now im starting to worry that i have made a problem worse

yes don't do anything at this point but let your soil COMPLETELY dry out... If your unsure then wait until your plant starts to look like it's going limp and then rewater...

runoff is inaccurate way of reading your soils ph, im sure you don't have a ph problem at this point

If its newer promix then the lime added should still be keeping it stable around 6.5, your problem isn't ph your problem is your ROOTS staying too wet too long. When the soil dries out it causes roots to go "searching" for water thus creating a bigger and stronger root base

Well ill just leave them for a few days and see what happens i turned the fans up so hopefully they will dry out faster and get some air to the roots.Thanks guys

And since I love to save money, you should use CFLs for the seedling stage. Saving 100 watts here and there is a good thing if you ask me. Just a suggestion.

...you only made it worse by adding more water, yes.....just let them dry, get some extra fans in there or a dehumidifier would be even better if you feel like you need to do 'something' more...like max said, let the pot get completely dry before you rewater....your new growth should start to look better shorly.

...a little neglect is better than too much of anyting...cannabis is pretty drought tolerant, she don't like wet dirt, she likes moist dirt.

Yeah i hate hanging those things lol i got like 20 bulbs on power strips just a pain.I guess i should get some t5 tubes or something just haven't yet.thanks

Yeah i guess it was just a matter of time. iv never had a grow problem from the start so i thot i new what i was doing.Vary humbling but i guess i am always learning :)
