And that plant is going to be ridiculously easy to transplant out of that cup. I would just rip the cup all the way down the middle and split it in half. You will be able to pop it out with ease.. make sure when you transplant its more towards the top of your container.. you don't want it sunken in there... just no good..

Thanks, smokinbot, i really appreciate the advice. You're right when you say i need to leave them alone lol! i check on them constantly, not lifting them or anything, just peepin in. What can i say, i'm a worrying gardener lol.

And i have a silly question. When you say the age of a plant (i.e., 2 weeks old) is that from the day they GERMINATED, or from when they SPROUTED? Because i germinated them on 3/6, and they broke the soil on 3/10. So from sprout, they are 2 weeks old today, but by germination, they are 3 weeks on Thursday,

For me they aren't plants until they sprout... So I usually go by days from when they break the surface in their container.. Next time I would say sprout them in a larger plastic party cup like the ones for beer pong.. It will allow for better root development. Which is optimal for transplanting.. You'll hopefully be ok, It just looks like it's 3/5 the way down in the cup and it's already a small foam cup you know.. It looks like just a combination of stress, nute burning, and need of transplant... I hate to say it but those plants are in bad shape.. Do you have other germing?


You should also mix in like a 2 to 1 mix of perlite when you transplant, and just from now on with any sprouts and plants.. Use gloves not your hands..

OK, that's what i was thinking, so then as of today, they are 2 weeks old.

Don't have any others germing yet, but i was thinking about doing it in case these don't make it. Have a ton of perlite for when i do transplant, so it'll be nice and drain-y. i'll make sure to get some gloves for when i transplant as well.

The sad thing is, i prepared for this grow. :( i got all the tools and good nutes and did all the reading...and they were doing pretty well until i got water on the leaves. Now i think they're just in shock. i'm hoping that transplanting will brighten them up since they'll be able to stretch their legs a bit and just worry about growin big. Oh, and being girls. :blsmoke:

That's exactly what i was thinking about doing--just ripping the cup. You helped me make up my mind about it lol. i figured it was the easiest way to gently transplant, i can just kind of roll it into my hand. Thanks for all your help, i'll send some rep your way (though it's not worth much lol)

ahhh so thats why the leaves look like that?! were you misting with the lights on? I also made that mistake my first time, burnt the shit out of leaves.. But the plants did live.. and ended up looking pretty nice.. But I always left the bottom semi burnt ones on as a reminder haha.. I've had lights fall on plants and smash them, fall on them and burn them.. you live you learn.. next time you won't make the same mistakes..

No, wasn't misting, just got some water on the bottom leaves when i watered, and didn't wipe it off. :( The reason i want to trim is because when i look all i see is the burn, it distracts me from the new growth. :P The new growth looks a LOT better, and i'm really hoping the transplant livens them up even more.

Hey, your plants dont honestly look that bad... :) Just give em' a few days! They'll be ok. haha, have to be positive. They're not turning brown all over, and now that you have been flushing them with just water hopefully that nute burn will go away in a little.

If the leaves are gonna fall off, they will do it on their own.. I'd be careful about cutting all these leaves off especially when it's already stressing..

That's sound advice. i won't touch them.

i'll take pics of my setup when we move them upstairs. Right now i'm warming up the room with a portable, fire-proof heater. i'll probably have to leave it up there, but i can control the temp on it, so it's all good. Thanks for all the help and input, guys! :)

OK all, we got it all set up and got our 3 girls into their new homes. i'm really hoping they recover in there and grow happier. Right now i have 4, 42 watt CFLs and 4 27 watt CFLs, will be getting more soon. Comments and suggestions appreciated! BTW, the plants look better in real life than they do in the pics, but i'm hoping they spring back. :) Thanks for lookin!

Thanks for lookin in, everyone. The girls seem a LOT happier in their new room--they're growing nicely now! It's been two days since we transplanted them, and already they are looking loads better.

The pic of the temp is actually the top part of a heater that i am able to prgram to come on if the temp drops below 73. At first i didn't believe it did it (i had never used that option before), but it came on when i had the door open, so it's doing its job. :) It's still pretty chilly in Canada, and the upstairs isn't insulated very well, so outside of that room is about 65 degrees or so. Lovin that heater!

So enjoy the pics, and please tell me what you think!

Thanks for lookin, Rope :) i just checked my girls, and they look even better today! It's amazing how much they grow overnight--they're larger than even yesterday! The new growth is green and lush and healthy-looking! VERY excited now!!
