Seeing as social security most likely won't be around by the time most of us get there, do you do anything to plan for when you get older?
How are you planning for retirement/old age?

I have a random patch of expensive land in Trinidad. I want to build a riding school and BHS exam center there with a volunteer program for young people, like the one that helped me gain so many life skills. When I'm too old to manage, the older volunteers will take over. I might buy a stake in one of my mentor's racehorses. We could grow exotic flowers around the back of the farm for... Practical reasons.

Thanks x I know I could generate a SHITLOAD of money renting property in that location but I want to make equestrianism accessible to everyone. It used to be that horses were a working man's tool and companion, now it's full of elitism and kids won't get a chance to even get close to the animals. (even if they are an animal I feel like eating at times...) It's independent run, rough around the edges farms/ranches that I owe my experience to today. I got lucky, but I need to make it so alot more kids can.

I had to retire at 36...but I stay busy with my caregiver carrer.
( selling overages$$$) And next year I'm setting up a pumpkin patch for some extra $$. I have a huge grape garden too, I've been reading on how to take cutting, safely spray for pest...and hopfully sell them too. They have a seed in the middle, but taste fuckin awesome...nice and crisp and sweet.2 kinds growing, one purple and one kinda reddish purple. I thought of taking up wine making?....but i'm pretty busy.
I voluteer at the local dispensary and they pay in meds, and have trimming parties where i keep all the trim and then share the hash...minus a few grams for me of course...lol

like the guys living under the freeway overpass..., they get pretty creative using construction signs and hanging blankits for walls....and don't even think about fuck'n with their shopping cart, thats justifiable homicide in Detroit.
I've drove by and donated old jackets and blankits...one lady chased me down asking me to please let her come stay with me...lol...she smelled a dunpster from 30 feet away.
...but I do feel sorry for some of them when it hits 20 blow 0 and the shelters are full...but then some of them are scumbags,drugdealers who just live on the streets and hustle.

I'm just months from when I can draw on my 401K but I'll stay out as long as I can, I'll work odd jobs for money and feed myself by hunting and foraging in the woods. I own my house and owe no one for anything but taxes and IF I pay tax it's not going to be much, i the Government wants my money they have to show they can be trusted and they are far from that LOL!!!!!
