Short answer: you will lose almost all potency.lets say you go 3-4 weeks past the optimum harvest window (on a 7 week strain), what happens? does it just become more and more of a body stone, or does it lose potency rapidly?

wont they produce pollen to try and pollenate themselves?
To make seeds pollen has to exist. Not pollen no.
Plants which are left for too long might start producing seeds and try to hermy themselves to allow the genetics to live on.
It's a last ditch effort and it's not very common.
To make seeds pollen has to exist.
Soma on Rodelization:
"I noticed that if I flowered the plants 10-14 days longer than usual, they would develop male "bananas." A male banana is a very slight male flower on a female marijuana plant that is formed because of stress. Usually they do not let out any pollen early enough to make seeds, but they sometimes do. They are a built-in safety factor so that in case of severe conditions, the plant can make sure the species is furthered."
They work exactly the same way as normal male flowers, they pop pollen exactly the same, it's just not all viable pollen because of the age of the plant but it's released in the same manner.I know pollen has to exist, but they still don't pollenate in the traditional sense.
They might develop a few seeds but I have never seen full seed production nor spread to other plants as a result of the safety measure.
I didn't say that the plants don't pop pollen the same way, of course all pollination has to happen through the same 'channels'.They work exactly the same way as normal male flowers, they pop pollen exactly the same, it's just not all viable pollen because of the age of the plant but it's released in the same manner.
Giving bloom nutes does not make it "finish faster". You need to check the trics amongst other things to know it is "ready"Ummm, i have a question to everyone and this seems like the place to ask, say you have a plant look finish with mostly amber hairs.. Then you give a large dose of bloom nutes to help it finish faster and make the hairs recesed, but it instead makes a bunch of new white hairs appear all over the plant.....So now your over 9 weeks with a bunch of new white hairs....is waiting it out going to mke it hermie or lose potency?
