word, no worries bro..im always interested in what a knowledgeable vet has to say.. i was actually thinking of using dry ice inside distilled water for kind of a hybrid method, i was thinking the dry ice will help keep the water at a lower temp while mixing and creating friction? or i was thinking about puttin a 5 gal bucked, inside a rubbermaid with dry ice in it, and just doin it regularly, using the dry ice/rubbermade as kind of like a giant walk-in freezer (in theory)...i dunno, i think the key to water hash is keepin temps super low throughout the entire process, but i just want to make that wax!
EDIT: just wondering, how do you think a vac purge will work on ice water hash? or is that what you mean by opposite of pressing?, sorry for so many questions, wake n bake got me all gabby this morning, ahha

all of your ideas are spot on. i dont use dry ice, but know many who do. dry ice dry screen is probably the fastest way to make some wax.
I break my hash up as much as possible and leave it that way, the opposite of pressing.

I've been researching these more precise ice extraction methods for a while now just don't have the materials and supplies yet. Beautiful work though. This is the future of concentrates right here.

Sigh... no its not really. BHO is easier to make and comes out more potent. I'm on the wrong team. No one cares about natural safe production and art. Its all about getting as high as possible. I'm an ice water extractivist in a sea of bho-fiends.

Well I would hope people wake up to the fact it is 100% better in every aspect. I mean it does test lower but I just take bigger dab and it goes down way smoother. IMO the fact that you can dab more makes it easier to become more medicated on than bho. Also the true heads in my area jump on the solventless over bho, granted these people are more educated than your average toker.
Anyways really respect the work people like yourself do matt. I know I'll be switching to water ice extraction once I can figure out my method and I'll be bringing converts with me!

Be careful with that statement
. Ice hash is better for you in every way when it comes to your health. As Matt said oil is most certainly stronger. I absolutely adore me some good ice hash but good stuff like Matt's is hard to get unless u can make it yourself or know someone that does. Clinics at least in so cal are pretty much a joke and the ones that do have good stuff it is exhorbiantly priced and few and far between no consistency whatsoever. So since I'm only alright at ice hash even after running about five pounds of trim ill stick to makin oil with vacuum purge for the head stash as I research more and do smaller batches til I can get it right to my satisfaction. Dabs are awesome but ice hash u can burn into an oil like consistency on a skillet is even better . It may not get me as high but I'm safer from cancer causing chems. just tryin to keep the facts straight.chiefpuffaloe

In Colorado I know the maker of a solventless (not nikka) and had some of nikkas
through a friend so it's around pretty often if you know who. But dispensarys will have it in on occasion top.

Colorado tends to have a lil more qc on what goes into and out of clinics there because your laws are tighter on those places. It's because of how it is out here in Cali. Some places are such garbage

I think I stated so cal specifically maybe not but yea up north stuff is way cheaper and much more plentiful. Doods aren't as greedy out there generally.

You know I've seen A LOT people stop at about 6 minutes through your tutorial...they think that is fully purged. Isn't there still a shitload of tane in there? Why are people so obsessed with wax/budder?

well....i think that there is butane left when it first reaches the state of budder, or wax, or whatever you want to call it, im not sure on the PC terms of concentrates...but i feel if you put your budder on wax paper, and squeez it really flat, to creat alot of surface area, to evaporate butane, over a couple squeezes, you will purge the product of most butane, but, im a total newb man,...here another vid =/[youtube]odXiCIIGHww[/youtube]

What temperature did you purge on? I don't like the look of the finished product as much. As for the squeezing, I don't think so. I believe you need heat or a vaccum in order to allow most trapped butane to escape.
