Doing 1st tent test grow with bag seed and they stretched a lot more then I wanted. 3 weeks into flower and running out of headroom. I know now that idealy I should have cropped or topped in veg. Is it too late now to try super cropping? Thanks for any help.

I would tie them down rather trhan super cropping in flower. Super cropping is quite stressful and you run the risk of turning hermie.

I super crop in flowering all the time. Never had a hermie or bad result from it.
same here.. super croppings not as stressful as you'd think it would be ime... i do it pretty late into flower for same reasons as op and have never had an issue.. :)

all good here too, never done it more than 4 weeks into flower, but if i ever need to, i wont hesitate. the ones i Supercropped are actually doing better than the identical plant next to it.

Well there seems to be some differences of opinion (no surprise on roll it up in my limited experience, but that is part of the reason I like it here...no smoke being blown up anyone's ass ha ha pun not intended.) I have 4 plants which are way too tall. I'll tie two down, and super crop the other two and watch carefully for hermies on the super ones. Like I said originally this was a test grow with bag seed, however they are doing surprisingly well except for the stretch and i'd like to end up with some sensi. If super cropped hermies I'll cut them down, if not I'll post up here as evidence (through a very small sample admittedly) that, at least in this case, it worked...and post up also how super crop looks compared to tied down in final production of plants. Thanks for advise.

So I super cropped the tops of all 4 inadvertently. Tried to tie over 2 but the stem bent. The tops are now hanging at 90 degree angles from the rest of the plant. Do I just leave them that way? Will the eventually straighten up or just stay at 90's? Thanks for any help

if you want them to stay down, tie a samll washer towards the end and the rest will curve and turn for the light. youll see whole new growth its awesome. be sure they have been watered fairly recently.

My god, any time someone suggest something someone throws the word Hermi in there. It is like saying you will get aids or something and is just pure bullshit. Those with hermis in the world are growing hermi prone genes. I have abused marijuana more ways than you can shake a joint at and have never had a hermi. I don't buy seeds from some of these so called weed gods though, so that may be part of it.

I am growing a Colombian Gold crossed with Jamaican Lambsbread fom USC. They have a pretty good reputation for that sort of thing and I have seen no reports of anything they have going gay on them.

The biggest reason to Not supercrop late in flower is that the heavy buds of an indica dom will just pull the bud to the ground, not a good idea. Not the case with the light airy buds of a pure sativa. In fact supercropping a pure sativa is probably the only good way to grow a pure sativa indoors.

My Col Jam is two months old from seed and starting to flower. I have two of them (plus some clones of both). I cut the main stem a couple weeks in and caused the plants to split into two main stems. Then some smaller branches started coming up. I knew right away that I had my hands full if I was to grow this indoors. I started pinching and bending branches down and it is working well. The plants have been in flower for a week or so and little bud sites are happening everywhere. I have months of flowering ahead of me and long node spacing. I have already begun supercropping some of the branches more than one time.

What has happened is that when I pinched a branch and bent it down it formed a tough knot at the bend site. The branch grows down for awhile then starts growing up again. I pinch and bend it another direction. I will continue doing this for as long as I can, but will certainly do it during the first month or more of flower, where this plant has it's biggest stretch. I had these plants in one gallon container for almost two months and just switched to the three gallon container once it showed signs of sex. The plants are taking off now in growth because of the new container. I may even transplant into a five gallon container, but that remains to be seen. I will continue to supercrop as long as I do not think the bud weight will pull the branch down.

Sativas are very fibrous and lend themselves well to this sort of abuse. The longer node spacing also lends itself well. I believe that supercropping these plants has also made more bud sites than if I hadn't. Light penetration on the budsites will be better because I am bending the branches in directions that are customized to my lighting and space needs. This is in my opinion not only the best, but the only real way to grow a pure sativa indoors. I stake my reputation on it.

Anyone with any empirical proof that anything we do to our plants causes a hermi show it now. I swear that the hermis that appear are purely genetic. Sam the Skunkman planted thousands of Thais and said that 25% of them were hermis and they were all grown together outdoors in Holland. These plants were naturally hermi in the best of conditions, outdoors.
