TRUE OR FALSE Finishing in a big pot results in larger yield?

I currently have my plants in 2 gallon containers and I am thinking about transplanting them to a 4-5 gallon. I would like to know before I do so if this would help my yield?

Would there be any difference from keeping them in the 2 gallon container than from transplanting to a 4-5 in yield?

They are about 55 days in from germination and their a little over a foot tall.

Please give me your opinion, HONEST ANSWERS PLEASE

I have 2x 600w HPS ready for flower
I have 2x 120w LED for VEG

The size of pot play a big role in plant size. A bigger root system means a bigger plant and a bigger plant means more yield, unless you don't have the needed lighting for the plant size of just screw up royally.
 
Yes I'm still in veg. Their about a foot tall the LEDs kept them compact with many node sites. Their 52 days old from germination.

Should I transplant? (Sour Kush, Kushberry, Super Silver Haze)
 
You can definately transplant... And like brick top said.. You will definately increase your yield... You can transplant anytime during veg... Your plant sounds as if it needs transplanted,. It's praobably on the verge of becoming root bound being in a 2 gallon container at 2 months old still in veg andd if not it's almost guarenteed to be in the middele of flowering....Transplant her...
 
Thanks guys I will transplant. I just fed her with 0-8-16 Lucas yesterday...

How many days should I wait to transplant?
Should I feed it immediately after transplant?
 
This year most of my plants were in 10 gallon containers, and one in a 5 gallon. The 5 gallon one was about half the size, and about half the yield of the ones in 10 gallon pots. I'd veg them for at least a month more after transplanting so they can get bigger before you flower them, ideally longer
 
more roots more bigger fruits is what i always say, nothing wrong with having a huge root system to support plant growth, i pulled almost 3 lbs off one plant in a 25 gallon pot same strain in a 5 gallon yeilded 3/4 lb
 
you will get conflicting answers to pretty much every question you ask. take all your answers, weigh them out and try to figure out whats best for you. On another note, if they are 55 days old and youre only a foot tall, I would consider changing my veg light. at 8 weeks you shoud be way taller than that. granted, the root situation may have something to do with that, but im wondering if the lights are really working for you. good luck
 
They were vegging under LED they are very bushy with tons of nodes that has short spacing and tons of clones:hump:

They just recently went under 600w HPS

Mine are hitting 18 inches in 4 weeks under nothing but t8s. cheap ass t8s with cheap ass bulbs with cheap ass electric. if you cant tell...im a cheap ass. seriously though, home depot has a bad ass 6bulb t8 set up for 80 bucks. killer results per dollar
 
I agree with Brick top and the others.

Bigger pots = more roots = bigger plants, at least up to a certain point when light and space become limiting factors.

52 days is absolutely not too late to transplant.

I may be using the same lights, the "Hi Bay" 6 lamp, 4' setup. They fucking rock!
 
The roots will not grow much in flower so transplant now and maybe break up the root ball a little. I have had the same yields with a 1 gal vs 2 gal, so it is not always so simple. The root system was kinda small in the 2 gal, so I guess it is the root size that determines yield.
