Are they ready to bloom ? > I'm newbie <

Are theese plants ready to bloom? I was looking some user's journal, his username was torontofarmer or somethink like that, his girls look just like my girls and he started them to bloom too eartly (dont have experience, maybe not early) but his plant was smaller than my plants when he started to give them 12/12 light period.

I dont have 2700k bulbs or HPS right not, I was planing to buy 1 week later. Is there any problem if I start flowering now without 2700k bulbs? In my first grow I didnt use 2700k bulbs.

And after starting to give them 12/12 light period, are they gonna stretch more?

Or if I wait 2 or 3 weeks, than can I get bigger plant, bigger buds?

- Using 3x23 watts 6400k CFLs + 1x100 watts 6400k CFL = 169 watts
- Using 2 gallons pots (8 litters)
- Didn't use any nutrients

if youre gunna stick with cfls then ya go ahead. they will double in size during flower. they need bigger pots and will definitely need food of some sort unless you go with an organic soil. dont expect too much with cfls of that size but youll have something to smoke for sure. feed them girls soon, theyre getting hungry. good luck

thx for relpy, I think my soil has nuts, I didnt feed them but they look healty everyone says, but in flower stage they will need more nutes right? 8 litters pot not enough? need bigger pots for bigger buds? I dont think I can move them another pot

I think a lot of people switch their plants around 12-18 inches tall. I don't think I'd let them get over 18 inches before flowering them in 2 gallon pots.

I also agree they need nutes for flower. If you are using a soil with nutes in it you are gonna have to get advice on HOW to feed flower nutes though because IDK. Soil that has nutes in it usually feeds for 3 months soooo you dont want to burn them feeding them a full on flower nute.

thanks for reply I'm gonna test low dose of just one bloom nutrient first to see are they need nut or not. My english is not good enough, do I understand well? "you said, dont let them to reach 18 inches to flowering them because of 2 gallons pots?" I watched lots of growing video maybe 200-300 videos. I saw too many plants in 2 gallons which are about 25-30 inches tall. So I bought 2 gallons like them :/ even they grow aproximetly 30 inches plants in 10x10cm rockwool. In this pic u can see.

HPS lights are the optimum lights for flowering, so if you have to wait a week to get one then wait. It will be worth it when you get the bigger yield. A good rule of thumb for deciding when to flower is when your plants have reached about half the size you want them to be. Your plant will double in size during the flowering period. As for your pot, that is entirely up to you. The bigger the pot, the bigger the root system (theoretically), and the bigger the yield (theoretically). If you stick with your current pot size you will be fine, your yield just won't be as big. If you do decide to move your plants, give them two weeks to chill before you start flowering, a move can be stressful to a plant and you don't want to flower a stressed plant. You should use "Google Translate" to convert these post into your first language. It's free and it will prevent you from misinterpreting and doing the wrong thing. Good luck.

BTW I changed my mind about buying HPS, because I will need new timer (this one doesn't support HPS or MH bulbs,balasts) and I will need more than normal ventilator for air flow. And need a high growbox too... I dont have much money and space right now for them.

So I'm planning to buy 4x45watt 2700k CFLs and spots.. I found this 4 inches spot http://www.tekzen.com.tr/newsite/prd-832770001-spot_downlight_krom_4_inc_metsan.aspx does it usefull for 2700k bulbs? I'm planning to buy 4 spot.

after than I will have 180 watts of 2700k + 169 watts of 6400k = 349 watts of total.

BTW I measured the plants. One of them 24cm (9,5 inches) other one which has bigger leafs 17cm (6,7 inches) are they ok for bloom you think?

I measured the pots too, width : 8 x 8 inches, and the pot lenght is 11 inches

you can start flowering whenever you want but the larger you let it get in veg then the more buds you'll produce in flower.

I wouldn't flower my plants until they're mature, that is a-symmetrical branching and an abundance of preflowers.

If you're afraid of height issues then top them. No need to rush the plants, await maturity and you will be rewarded.

how to know that they are mature? Two of them are female, no balls, has lots of white hairs since 2 week.

Wow decent, nice that they're pre-flowering already. Yeah you're ready to flower, you just have to decide what size you want them now.

Have you considered topping or LST to give bigger plants? Bigger plants bigger yield.

That all sounds fine to me, you should do just fine. You can flower anytime you are ready. Some people go 12/12 straight from seed, so if you are happy finishing with a 2ft. Plant then go for it. Good luck.

i'm new, but i say top/lst to control height, and wait for asymmetrical stems. those in first pic are _sym_metrical--occurring in pairs. they all start like that, then they start growing offset from each other (not pairs)-that's asymmetry and the earliest sign of maturity in cannabis-(according to what i've learnt so far).

please set me/us straight if i'm smoking up the wrong stem.

Yes like u said, I have a bad camera and can't focus the plant closely so I show example pics, I mentioned it. but maybe today I'm gonna shot with my friend's professional camera.
