I want them NOW! I need them NOW! I am impatient. My 4 organic plants are THRIVING... but I am psyched about getting this fog unit working.

I dont know if you have tried it yet but I think you are going to have issues with the foggers trying to spit nutrients. To my knowledge they arent going to pick up the nutrients out of your water. Best case scenario if it is able to put nutrients into the air its going to cause the nebulizers to fail early. Foggers are only meant to use clean or RO water. I have thought about a system like you are doing though, I was going to use a traditional aeroponic setup with its own res etc, then just adding the standalone fogger using RO water only. I am super curious how this will work though and glad you will be the guinea pig for it :) Ill be watching! and good luck

Ive waited over a month more than once to recieve things from hong kong, and sometimes its super quick. Its a hassle nonetheless and I always try to buy from the states.

yeah i think the micron size has to be around 40-50 micron to pick up nutes and such
and i think the foggers emit like 5 micron and heat up the water
but im subbed regardless

well to sprout I am just going to use water. If I need to drip feed a little every day of a seperate nutrient solution, then that is what I will do, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. It's all trial and error at this point, but hopefully not a lot of error.

UPDATE

Got my foggers in today. Both fogger units work well, but one of the ac adapters had a bad solder joint, i fixed it... and after a little fanhagglin of a floater, I got them to work. got them fixed RIGHT at the light switch time, and since I have the three organics going at the same time, I had to walk away for the night. Pictures tomorrow. There is a LOT of fog... and a lot of fog escaping... hoping that won't create a problem.

Ok... so I was supposed to update yesterday, but ended up in the hospital instead. (trust me, that was interesting... had to have the paramedics in the apartment, and they didnt smell anything, one more point for the OZN-1) I am out of the hospital today... back at home (it was asthma exaserbation or whatever). So here is the update.

There is a lot of fog... and I don't think its a bad thing. my other three organic plants in there are loving the extra humidity... and since I use my light as extra heat for the apt... the humidity makes the air a little cleaner, and more enjoyable in the winter time. So... anyways... i am gonna post pics I took yesterday, before the emergency room visit... and pics I took today... no change on the seedlings yet...but it is definately moist enough for them in the pots... moved some hydroton around so i could see, and those pool noodles I planted in are staying mighty moist.

The only problem I think I see, is that there is no drainage... I went through hell trying to fix that false bottom for proper drainage, and now all the fog escapes from the pots, and the air slits in the top of the unit... none is draining. not a drop in the drip pan. I guess it is being used though, because I checked all over in the tent, and around, and there is no moisture building up... so i guess a little more time to figure that one out completely. So far tho, I am loving it.

These are the pics I took a little while ago... you can see they organic plants seem to LOVE the extra humidity.

One of the organics is showing female... i tried to get a good pic of the first hairs I seen on her... the other two are nice and healthy... and since the organix are bag seed, I aint worried if they are male... I'll just pull em.

Well, I should mention at the moment I have a timer on the foggers. since they are 12/12 of course the whole light time the foggers are on... so I have it set for the foggers to start an hour before my lights come on, until 30 mins before they go off. (7am til 7:30pm) and then back on @ 11pm-midnight, 3am to 4am. that should keep things a bit moist, but they shouldn't really need ANY moisture during the night time... but then... i have heard mixed things... so... that is what I am doing.

I am also not using nutrients at this point. just water + a few drops of super thrive (not even sure if that will do anything... fogging and all). plannin on doing this for a week or so after they sprout... but we'll see... never can tell when doing a grow like this for the first time. i just dont wanna over do it, burn anything out... etc.

As I have no idea what you are doing either, just my opinion, but I think you're going to want to run at least a couple cycles in that 12 hours the lights are off

Definately
Especially if thats the only water source...

thats what i was thinking too... but i read a lot of places that say pot plants like to dry out a little bit too... I am going to have a couple cycles, like i said... bout 3 hours off, 1 on, 3 off, 1 on, 3 off, and then on during light cycle.

So, I looked in the hydroton today... I was curious, and wanted to see what was goin on. All three of the seeds (Hollands Hope, Durban Poison, and Super Lemon Haze) have sprouted tails already. The tails are only 1/8 to 1/4 inch long... but they are there today... in a day or two we'll see sprouts, and not too long after that, we should see some decent rootballs starting to form. no pics today... two confirmed females from the organic plants... now, back to Thanksgiving dinner...
