setup looking good bro, just watch how many plants you try to fit in that box. mine is 2 x 2 x 5 and its only good for 2 plants when they get big. i found the best way for air flow is a passive intake down low and your exhaust fans up high on the opposite side or on the top of the box. ive done 7 grows in my cardboard box and now on my 8th, trust me, you get plenty of bud from a box and some cfl's. my last grow was 2 autos and i got just over 7 oz's!! good nutes get the best results. good luck and i'll be watchin. heres a couple pics for ya.

ok so i topped some of them and left some alone, nuted some and plain water for others.

heres what i did. i have all 7 labeled A-H

A: Plain water, no top
B: Topped + nutrient solution
C: Plain water no top
D: i overwatered this plant and it is recovering so no water or nutes but i did Top it.
E: Plain water no top
F: Nuted, no top
G: Disposed of yesterday, wasnt growing and keeping up with the rest.
H: Topped + nutes

heres the experiment so you dont have to keep looking back. the top row of pics is in order A-H (no G) from 2 days ago 11/20/11 and the second row is in order and i took them this AM. tommorow i wheen out 3 help me decide :)

im thinking B, C, E, F for keepers

also please let me know what you think about the nute situation, F seemed to have responded well to the dose.

but E looks like it has grown equally and it recieved no additional nutes.

Also B looks like it took to the topping quite well, the others i topped not so well, not bad but just not as fast, another day will tell i guess. going to go out and mix up my soil today and get it inside so it has some time to reach room temp, dont want to stick these guys in freezing cold soil lol.

no prob, wish i had time to go through it but dam thats alot of posts :)

right now i am getting soil/perilite and peat moss mixed up, hoping i have enough peat moss and perilite. have 10 gall (roughly) of soil.

went out to dump the soil out of the buckets and it was frozen. broke it up best i could with a pick axe but stillsome good sized frozen chunks. got it sitting in the sun right now hopefully will thaw out enough to mix up and get it in the house. dont want no big chunks of soil in my containers roots arent able to move through them easily and it becomes wasted space.

Wednesday Update:

Just ordered my bulbs they are bought and paid for < https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/1555/FC105-FEIIIB27K.html > 50$ but worth it IMO this brings me up to around 94$ so far, all i need is electrical tape and some duct tape and i should be all done so hoping i can keep it under 100 bucks

the seedlings are looking good will transplant my 4 today and modify my cab so they all fit. will post some pics up late after i get everything done.

ps: sorry if i update this thing too much, im trying to be thourough. maybe being in such detail will help people answer small questions they have....who knows. also a computer info system student so i spend a good part of my day doing work on the PC and i need a break somethimes :joint:

anyways i hope everyone enjoys this journal, please feel free to comment and toss up pics (within reason please, dont need people posting up 50 pics to a time but if you have a couple to help get a point across feel free to add em :) )

Edit: now that i have most of the supplies i can see a 2 plant grow in the near future purchasing 2x 105w 6500k bulbs (totaling 6 bulbs 4 current and 2 new ones <--- ) this will be almost 500w CFL grow, if the SCROG goes well i will be doing a dual plant SCROG...unless this one yeilds great results then i will keep it up with just one plant (stil investing in the 2 new bulbs for almost 500w on 1 PLANT)

enjoy updates coming this afternoon with pics !!

also turned my fan off as my box wasnt getting nice and cozy warm, now it is staying at a nice warm temp and i can see the difference it made overnight, once i add the 2 105w bulbs i should be able to circulate some air and maintain a decent temp for growing.

alright all done, picked up 2 more 26w CFL at the store so will have 6 bulbs in there in about a week when my 105w 2700k arive in the mail. down to 4 seedlings all transpanted and grow box has been modified to fit the 4 containers in it. there are alot of light leaks but im not going to concern myself with them while in veg once i put into flower i will put the box back the way it was before and tape off all the light leaks.

104w in there right now for 4 plants. nothing really special now its just wait time ....tick....tock.....:joint: << must be 4:20

heres a couple pics :peace:
