Why does the State have the right to deprive any parent of their child? Especially over a name...ridiculous.

Man thats a terrible name , but I dont think thats grounds enough to take a child away from their parents, they need to find a better reason I bet if they do a little investigating into the families affairs they would find one.

A New Jersey couple who lost custody of their first three kids after giving them Nazi-inspired names has been denied the right to take home their fourth child, a newborn boy they named Hons.
Heath and Deborah Campbell's other children - Adolf Hitler Campbell, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell - are in foster care. On Monday, the Campbells went to family court in their hometown of Flemington, N.J,. in a bid to regain custody of Hons, who they say was taken from them by state child welfare officials hours after Deborah gave birth on Thursday, reported myfoxphilly.com.
Hons is still in the hospital, but the couple has been barred from seeing the baby, they told FOX. Heath Campbell said police came into the nursery and took Hons without a court order.
“They kidnapped my kid,” Campbell said. “I’ve been sleeping with his little blanket from the hospital.”
The state took custody of the couple’s other children nearly two years ago, saying there were in danger because of previous violence in the Campbell home, The Associated Press has reported. The Campbells have been fighting to get their children back ever since, claiming the violence charges are fabricated. It wasn't clear whether the latest court hearing involved all of the children or just the newborn.
The Campbells came into the spotlight in 2009 when a supermarket refused to ice a birthday cake for their now 4-year-old son Adolf Hitler.
Heath Campbell defended the children's names and told myfoxphilly.com on Monday that his reverend approved of him naming his new son Hons.
The Campbells have denied that they are neo-Nazis.

Did you see the picture of the parents!? At first I would say its rediculous to take the kid because of the. And they game him. But the story said the other two kids were taken die to violence in the home. I say take every kid that those two mistakes make.

And everyone thinks the state is so great? This is why the state needs to be abolished. Anarchy is way better than this fascist shit. It doesn't matter if the kid were named dickhead like duketroll mentioned as such a horrible name. Something as petty as a name shouldn't be grounds to take away custody. The US law system works on precedence. You and the the OP can go fuck yourself. I hope to the flying spaghetti monster and invisible pink unicorn Newt becomes president. Then when he catches you with a few mg of resin, he personally executes you. That's what you'll both deserve thinking the state can take away children for name alone. I feel ashamed to be an American right now. Might as well all learn Chinese right now, since our human rights are on par with China. Shame on you America and Mr. Peace Prize Change Long Legged Mack Daddy.

There are a lot of christians out there that treat their children much much worse than giving the kid a weird name, yet they dont lose their children?
As long as the parents or the kid dont round up a bunch of jews and gas the shit out them i cant see a problem.

Well of Course that is how the White Supremacy nutz think.
But the facts are their other Children where taken away because of a history of Violence in the Home.
And do you really think that just becuase they are your kids you have a Right to destroy their lives?

Deborah Campbell says police referred to Heath as ''the Nazi guy," quizzed him about his tattoos (a swastika is included on his body art) and performed a field sobriety test, presumably after smelling alcohol in the car.
It was 10:20 in the morning.
Lt. Kevin Donovan of the Raritan Township Police Department confirmed to me tonight that police pulled over the Campbells.
Donovan said officers ticketed Heath Campbell for failing to make repairs to the vehicle -- a charge that stemmed from a state inspection that had identified deficiencies with the car that apparently had never been fixed.
Donovan said he hadn't spoken with the officers involved and couldn't say with certainty what specifically hadn't been repaired.
"The ticket was justifiable but the way he was treated was not," Mrs. Campbell said of her husband. "They violated him by saying the things they said to him."
On the police department's end, Donovan said he couldn't address Deborah Campbell's contentions.
"Without speaking to the officer, I can't really make a comment on that," the lieutenant said.
Donovan said he couldn't confirm that police performed a field sobriety test on Heath Campbell; the summons makes no mention of that.
Deborah Campbell said it was her mother, not her husband, who was sauced. Mom was in the car and accompanying the Campbells to the hearing on the chance authorities would release the kids to her if not the parents, her daughter said

Yeah cos Fox news is the fountain of truth.

The State has no part interfering in the family. If the parents were actually committing acts of violence then arrest them, if not then leave them alone.

Guilty until proven innocent, "America the land of the free"...what a load of bullshit that is.

State is acting for the benefit of the Children. And rightfully so in this case

So this whole issue boils down to name calling even before it got printed the first time.

It is bull shit that anyone can decide what a name is outside the parents, and the kid when old enough to decide.

Do i approve of this name no. but that comes from a guy that would name his kid Adam Socrates (my sir name starts with S)
so any time he would be asked to initial a paper he would think twice before doing so.

No children have been harmed during the making of this post. I have no children to name.

I could only imagine how many times little Adolph Hitler would have gotten his ass beat at school, and maybe turned into the next Adolph Hitler. The Aryan Nation kid made me think this article was a joke for a bit... I mean it's their right to name their kids, but come on.

The decision of ok or not ok is not of importance. Why do you feel you should decide?
