Thanks Jay! That ryder looks dank and smells incredible! Great strain...The plants def LOVE the LED. I wish I would have gotten a higher wattage one, but I still got enough watts I think..
 
i don't know enough about LED's to have an opinion.... i was scared off early doors by LED haters so never even considered them for my grow.. seen some good grows since then, do you need to get them as close to your plants as possible? (thats really important with cfl's) i guess if they don't make much heat so close is best yes??

New 3 watt chip diode LED's with the correct spectrums are awesome. You have to keep them more than 11'' away or else you will get white spots all over, which is just sun bleaching from too much light intensity. some led's are different, some can stay a few inches away and some have to be more than 14''... if i got a 600w one I def would have to keep it over 14'' away.
 
yeah ... its all about getting the right ones i've heard.... sounds like you know what your doing :-)

thats ok, you can watch my thread in the meantime while we just learn to grow! then after, if you want to spend a shitload of money, you can get an led. they make buds suuuuper frosted!
 
sounds cool and i'm watching your thread closely ... i have a new 600w HPS i'm itching to get setup.... but i'm very interested in LED'S
 
haha .... well i have a full 4ftx4ft tent, hood, filter and double fan setup... got it just before we moved out of our house.... still waiting to get next house so i'm tight for space and confined to one corner of a borrowed shed..ATM

and these are my auto seeds .... i'm growing 3 of the Green o'matics currently... but i got all these for my tent setup, but i now have Skunk #1 which is burning a hole in my seed box LOL

although i have this stuff i'm very reluctent to use it as i'm worried that it will burn my cabinet and shed to the ground.... that would be bad!

welcome man. its awesome growing. and finding what works is cool. the different color light spectrum. think blues the best for flowering and it might be red.
 
I bought a 60x-100x scope earlier from radio shack for like 12 bucks.... checked the trichs on my diesel on a small leaf towards the top, and saw mayb 3 out of 20 amber. another week and a half and it will be plenty done id say. the bottom nugs are a little slower since the t5's dont penetrate well enough, and the life cycle for flowering is so short. So, im going to chop the top cola off in say a week and a half, and leave the rest to finish for another few days or week. I sprayed some of the bottom nugs with some colloidal silver, and hope to produce some female pollen ;) gonna make some ryders baby!

Oh you know you will get to see a few pics of it! lol. Im leaving the bottom couple of unfinished nugs on the bottom, and I started treating with colloidal silver today so I can cross it with the afgan ryder. oh yeah! blowing my load!
 
i bet.... would like to know more about this magic breeding your doing.... it sounds like witchcraft, but i'm off to bed so i'll have a catch up tomorrow fella.. take it easy
 
Just messin, im a brand newb too. But hey, I just started scoping my ladies out, and my scooby senses started kicking in, and I could actually smell the bud finally! So far, it reminds me of either Mindbender, or Blue dream I was getting from norcal.. either or... still good strains... and i feel since its indoor... it will be waaay danker!
