Although the food is good. Thanksgiving is all about being around friends and or family and just being happy. Eating and then everyone hanging out.

I didn't spend it with family this Thanksgiving , it was with friends only and at my house(1st time I've ever hosted a Thanksgiving dinner.). Which was different. Fun though. Everything went great :-)

there was a lot of pie. that made up for a lot. we got heat n serve food from boston market and only made a few things ourselves. the oven at my mom's is busted so she uses an electric roaster oven and that thing just doesn't brown a turkey no matter what you do. the heat n serve turkey wasn't as good as one she would have made even if it wasn't brown. not too bad though. it would have been my job to peel and cut the potatoes so i was real happy to get out of that.

I pealed 9lbs of potatoes today and made a bunch of ,what turned out to be, really good mashed potatoes. Man do I love mashed potatoes. :-D

tharoomman - I was once a huuuge mraz follower and wasn't sure that I had seen that photo of him that you have as an avatar anywhere.. I got to thinkin', "what would the chances be that mraz himself would be on riu.." I creeped around on your threads and everything... you aren't him :/ but you certainly seem to draw much inspiration from him. I can tell by your carefully tender and kind language. I must say.. I've gone through a long hip-hop period so I haven't been listening or reading much mraz stuff but the few years that I devoted to following him and his crew definitely defined the large piece of "positive" me. this was way too random.. but good stuff. oh and my family blows when it comes to cooking.. but I did avoid having to go over to my girlfriend's families place who are dairy free vegetarian vegans for this years thanksgiving.... so for that, I am THANKFUL!

Yup. Jason Mraz is sort of an idol for me and his music is a big inspiration in my life. I 1st got into him quite a few years back when he 1st started getting popular in the US. The crazy thing is that his songs on the radio have nothing on his other songs. I have never understood why songs like "butterfly" or "Sleeping to Dream" never make the radio.

You should def check out his new music...

Of course, man. It sure is nuts how much better his other tunes are.. I've heard him make a blog post once where he bad mouthed atlantic records and the radio and how they always tell him what his songs need and supposedly those are the ones on the radio.. oh well.
I haven't listened to his new music at all really, i'll look into it.. months ago I saw he had a new ep and I listened to a few songs. It seems that he's going toward prayer music and talking about God a lot in the few songs I looked into.. it wasn't bad by any means, it just caught me off gaurd.
