Female Calyx or Male Pollen Sacks ? Please Help

its too early to tell....youll know when you see the balls, theyre obvious, also the females will have whit hairs, i see neither. how long ago did you put em in bloom?

I put them on 12/12 11 days ago and saw pistils 4 days ago. This plant has female flowers on it, and I am thinking now that those are Calyx. Just not 100% sure. I am going to watch her close and see what she does, but based on"CashCrop's" experience those are most likely female Calyx. Although a few people have said the think its gone Hermie on me, but we'll see.

preflowers can be tough to distinguish. I would give it another week or so to get in the full swing of flowering before making a final decision if I were you....

Damn, people, those are male pre-flowers. Plain and simple. Female calyxes DO NOT swell BEFORE pistils show. Primordial Female calyxes are at best the size of a pencil lead accompanied by two white (mostly), pink, or yellow pistils. Sorry, but dont understand all the going back and forth on this.

These are only about the size of a pencil head, the zoom on my camera makes them appear bigger. You may still be correct, but they seem pear shaped to me and the way they are growing, one per node suggest female.

The plant has already shown female pistils in other locations. So lets say it is Hermie, what should I do ? Remove the male sacks ? Discard the entire plant ?

Not really, this is my only grow area. I could move it but I only have one HPS so I would have to switch it to florecent lights.

Then you are going to have to sacrifice it...unless smoking seed doesn't bother you. It looks very male at least hermie which for all intent & purpose is the same thing because it will pollinate itself . But from what I understand all seeds from a hermie are female.

Plants don't go hermie in this stage. its called a intersex if its born with the ability to sprout both male and female flowers. Hermie is due to stress bringing on male flowers in a female flower. Sorry to rant. i hate the term hermie. Oftenly not the proper term. That looks like a pure male anyways EDIT- i noticed ya said it has female flowers elseware. Intersex matey

I was under the impression the only way Feminized seeds would produce male flowers is in the form of a Hermie. I have read it's basically impossible for straight male or intersex from feminized seeds.

I think I will give it some time and see what happens. They have atleast a week before they would pollinate even if they are male flowers. I have a feeling it's Calyx. Thanks to all who gave input, I will update the situation soon.
