Wrong to be stoned around kids?

What do you think, if you have kids or are around kids, is it 'wrong' to be stoned while under their care/supervision? Why/why not?
 
Maybe a little wrong if they are under your care... but if they're old enough for you to be under their supervision get as stoned as you want...
 
I voted other, for the fact that it is NOT ok to be baked out of your mind around kids, but getting a little buzz on is acceptable(like alcohol) ;)
 
if an emergency were to go down, i would rather it be after i smoked six joints, as opposed to drank 6 beers...(but, I dont drink to begin with, so 6 would fuk me up good)

But then im very open about life and all its harsh realitys with my kids, i dont candy coat their world. nobody candy coats mine.....

I feel it is wrong to be stoned while you are taking care of the kids. It is ok to be a little buzzed, but stoned is excessive.
However, this is one translation of the question, assuming they are under sole care by you. If someone else is there(mommy, daddy, grandparents) then it sxhould be fine.
I also feel that you shouldn't do any high driving with your kifs in the car, same as drunk driving.

But these are just my opinions, I welcome input!

lol you can clearly tell as soon as that dude got high he was nervous to be in that test. lemme do that and ill pass that shit with flyin colors. can i ask why some of you are sayin its not good to be stoned around kids? do you feel you really change that much when you're high?
 
Stoned is a subjective term IMO. If you smoke a little to help you calm down before dealing with your kids that's fine but being off your ass on anything is not cool when you got the kids in tow. Just my opinion however, how you raise your kids is your problem.

I'd be a little nervous as well having two cops sitting behind me while I was high lol :D

I'd much sooner let someone babysit my kids (if I ever had any) after a few spliffs than after a drink. Then again, no one seriously intoxicated should be taking care of kids. My parents smoked in front of me and my earliest memories are from about 6 when I was really ware of what they were doing. I'm not sure whether it was when they were actually stoned or it was withdrawal but the house was violent. I suspect they just smoked too much and the physical fights weren't happening directly after smoking.

But I am more patient, able to focus and calm when high. I regularly house sit for my crush and babysit his two younger sisters- I've got 4 cats, a dog and two young girls to handle and can smoke in the house all night if I want. I haven't had any bad experiences yet. I guess it makes you ask yourself though, if you knew you had to watch someone else's kids, could you make the decision to abstain from smoking for that period of time? But if they're your own children, you know their level of independence and what either one of you can 'get away with'. I guess if you don't want to have to hide away from your child and only have your secret smoke after they've gone to bed until they're like 16, you shouldn't have to...
 
im stoned around my younger brothers and my sister sometimes when im at my parents house , but other then that im not really high around kids.
 
I think the right or wrong of it depends on the maturity of the individual getting high. Personally, I wouldn't get high or drunk while babysitting. Children require constant supervision and the last thing I need is to have my cognitive processes slowed or clogged with mind altering substances. I babysit my nieces and nephews all the time. It takes every ounce of my mental capacity to outwit the little bastards. :p
 
I smoke everyday and I also have my kids every single day. I don't get so high that I can't take care of em but they are also old enough that they don't need watched every second of everyday. I don't babysit other peoples kids high or sober so there is no issue there. But I feel it would be a little different with other peoples kids that ur not as familiar with ad your own. Like carne said it all depends on the smoker. Some of us handle it better than others.

I smoke low and mid grade weed, it has minimal implications in my judgement etc... if I had kids I'd still smoke.
I'm just a much nicer guy with weed than without. I am very gentle but easily worked up (probably why I managed to get a stupid heart attack last sunday).

I've smoked weed just about every day for the last 2/3rds of my life, if you want to see me act weird and unpredictable, let me go without for a few days.

"Sober" I am just so far removed from a child's world view, with botanical aid I get totaly absorbed in their games.
