I do indeed concurNeanderthals were a sub-species of homo sapien along with humans. They were not human, Neanderthals existed along side humans & inter-bred with them as well. >.<

The thermal properties of his fur allow this to happen and by regulating the blood flow to the surface of the skin, that bits easy.
We are Aliensas the most advanced species on this planet, why do we need to rely on an outside source to help regulate our body temperatures?
just wondering.
Just so you know, mine wasnt a theory I came up with out -o- me butt, its the leading anthropoligical view on the loss of our fur. The theory has been heavily scrutinized, examined, and has much contributing evidence. I would say that simply saying "that doesnt make sense" isnt exactly correct. More accurate we be "i just dont understand" because when you understand the detail in it...it does make.sense.thank you.
aliens with style.
is no one else covered in fur underneath their clothes? oh shit....as the most advanced species on this planet, why do we need to rely on an outside source to help regulate our body temperatures?
just wondering.
same reason cats snuggle up in blankets even though they have fur. to be MORE warm. it's beneficial for us to be able to cool off by sweating, which we couldn't do if we had fur. animals that regulate body temperature by panting and whatnot will never have the stamina that a human can obtain by sweating. humans don't overheat as easily as animals with fur, which used to matter before we raped the earth. that stamina combined with our superior intellect and ability to adapt to any temperature is what allowed us to hunt better and spread out all over the globe. you don't see tigers and bears hoofing it all the way to other continents and just setting up camp and surviving. fur is a ball and chain. to hell with that stuff.if we had fur, why clothing?

The following is not the real chain of deduction used in science, just my own chain of logic
Firstly, it is a bit obvious that all the fur would be for heat, thus the loss of it could be logically assumed to be tto reduce body heat. We also know based on burried and excavated bodies that our hair was leaving around the time.we were.standing on two legs. Also, as.our.brains became larger we required much more fat and calcium to power our brains. Such large.amount of fat and calcium wasnt to be found in plants but more so in animals. Without giant teeth to pierce or claws to cut, it often involved running down animals.with a rocm and bludgeoning them, that is untill the point we started maiking clovis spear heads. Being bipedal sprinting down an animal wasnt easily and usually an option, it involved long distance running, miles, untill the animal was.exhausted. Having too much body hair in subsaharan africa greatly increased.the.amount of energu needed simply to cool.down, thus the loss.of body hair had to happen for our evolutionary path.
horses sweat, they have fur.same reason cats snuggle up in blankets even though they have fur. to be MORE warm. it's beneficial for us to be able to cool off by sweating, which we couldn't do if we had fur. animals that regulate body temperature by panting and whatnot will never have the stamina that a human can obtain by sweating. humans don't overheat as easily as animals with fur, which used to matter before we raped the earth. that stamina combined with our superior intellect and ability to adapt to any temperature is what allowed us to hunt better and spread out all over the globe. you don't see tigers and bears hoofing it all the way to other continents and just setting up camp and surviving. fur is a ball and chain. to hell with that stuff.
this thread is fun
...we could then catch all the other naked ones and ran'em down to extinction?fur is used to cool a body just as much as it's used to heat it.
if RUNNING caused our hair loss then all the animals that run would be bald. how come the animals that we were chasing are covered in fur? they run.
you can repeat it 100 times, still doesn't make it true.
As i read to this point, my thoughts as well naturally wandered to this "realm". Who is to say the evolution of consciousness physically and spiritually did not affect our physical appearance? The more physically conscious our "species" became, the more our "ego" evolved. No matter what you dig, evolution. creation. aliens, or whatever.... it all eventually points to humans developing the ego. I only feel a correlation between this and our hair loss, but logically it seems sensible. I say this without definance, only in theory.more power to the brain.
that makes more sense then any other answer so far.
except the "style" answer, of course.
i am asking, "why do we need clothing to survive outside?"lol no all of us are furless fdd AND the follicles of all animals differ
we just call our fur HAIR their is no diff to head of hair you got and the furry ass back of a binobo
their are still recessive full body follicle genes that show up
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androgenic_hair
The parts we use the most tend to lose hair. cnwhy is my ass bald, but my head isn't?
