i made a hood out of cardboard and lined it with white poster paper, had like 250w of cfls eventually, and also used sunlight coming through a window. and would move plants in and out of a closet when they where flowering. it was alot of hustle and bustle but i had the time. it really wasnt worth all the effort ( 2 weeks worth of smoke) but i learned alot and got my cloning down.

First grow? 1977. Since at that time it was pretty standard to get a "3 finger bag" for around $30 it always contained as much as 20% seeds. Sensimilla was indeed an anomally and some of the first I tried was actually some I had grown. At the time, my parents owned a fairly large farm were we raised corn, wheat, soybeans, tobacco and beef cattle so I had my pick for both grow locations. I had read a article in High Times magazine on growing sensimilla and how to identify males, females etc. but little information was given on fertilization, photo-periods, ripeness and the like so I was left up to my own intuition and experimentation. I germimated all 10 plants in the native soil with composted cow manure as my only soil amendmant and gave them nothing but water during the drier periods of the summer. I somehow ended up with 6 females that survived and they yielded a total of 1lb 3oz of seedless weed.
My friends were more than a little bit suspicious of any cannabis that was locally grown (seedless no less) and was intially looked down upon as simply "homegrown" and suggested that I could only get about $10-$15/oz. for it. At a party one night at a local lake, I rolled up several thick joints (wtf is a "blunt"?) and started passing them around. It wasn't long until the entire group was stoned out of their gourds and pleading with me to sell them all that I had. They decided that I could even command $40-$50/oz. for this stuff which was unheard of at that time unless it was Panama Red, Jamaican or Maui Wowee etc. Ahhh the good old days lol.

i started with a 150 hps. in the closet then went to a 600 in my closet now im bangin the 1000 in a 6x4 space. :) bangin results sofar hence the shit eating grin. lol.

Started out with 4 White Widows, 12 Northern Lights and a 90W LED UFO. Eventually bought a 400W HPS and have my mothers and clones under the ufo in my closet. The other 15 are in a 5x5 grow room i built in my 1 bedroom apartment, gets darn hot in there. Using FoxFarm Ocean Forest in 5 gallon pots, FoxFarm Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. Getting ready to harvest actually in about a week depending on pistil color.
