best way to make hash oil

I believe in safety too, when I was younger, I use to make tons of hash oil for profit, in a machine they use to sell in the back of high times. I use to process 7-10 lbs a week into hash oil. I can say this now, as I was charged with the crimes, had my day in court and won.

Thats another story though. This is by far the easiest and safest method. Save all your clippings, male plants, whatever. Dry them completely. Now take em, and place them into the blender, add the highest quality isopropyl alcohol you can get, they make a 99%, but sometimes you can only get 91%. Thats what I use the 91% it's cheap, like $2.49 a bottle.

Now pour enough in the blender to cover your herb, turn on the blender and wait about one minute, maybe two, but no more than two minutes, you want to use the blender enough to pulverize the herb and have it completely soaked...that's it. It's better to have too much iso than not enough.

I have heard of stories about people thinking they'll get more for there efforts and allowing the iso to soak in for a whole day. This does NOT work. It is a waste of time and good herb too, because what happens is you end up soaking out all the impurities too. It'll look green, and taste like shit.

Now comes the tricky part, (but I'm planning on an improvement to this step, I'll include it at the bottom, but I havent done it yet.) get out a bowl, I like a bowl with a flat bottom. Like a cereal bowl. Get out one coffee filter also.

Pour some of the contents into the filter that you are holding over the bowl, as it fills, try to grab the tops of the filter, and close it off so nothing can escape out the top. Gently squeeze the filter, extracting all the iso into the bowl below.

Basically you are all done, all that is left to do is to evaporate the iso, what I do is place the bowl on my monitor for about a day. Obviously keep an eye on it. You could also place it near a space heater. These are about the only methods I am going to condone. Stove top heat is way too high and could cause a fire! In the summer time you dont even need extra heat, the iso will evaporate naturally if left to itself. Evaporation usually takes about a day or less.

Now for some side stepping from the process, as mentioned above, an improvement I want to try is to buy one of those washable coffee filters that they sell at the market. There about 3 bucks with a permanent wire mesh. Its washable and reusable. (I told ya, I'm cheap)

Another side step to this, is I've found that oil can be a pain in the ass to deal with. Using your razor to scrape it up. Trying to get it off your fingers....yuck! Anyway, after your all done and about to throw all that blender'ed herb out.....toss a little into the bowl and when the iso evaporates...you have black hash instead of oil!

Taking this a step further, toss a little more into the bowl and you'll have black herb to smoke.

I have tried the black hash and black herb method and I like these much better than the oil. It's cleaner and easier to deal with.

i just made hash oil using Butain. It is very simple and tastes better than the iso method.

i can make a step by step if you guys are interested.

what did you use for an extracror? a honey extracror or did you make one? i you made one what did you use... i ve seen it done with pvc

OK here we go.

You will need:

Coffee grinder
Pyrex bowl
can of butain
coffee filter
atleast 1/2 oz of material
Oil extractor

To make the oil extractor you will need a stainless steel pipe about 12"-18" long with two pvc caps that screw tight on each end.
The caps being tight on each end are VERY important. You will basically be making a bomb with holes poked into it.....so safety is important.

In one cap use a dremel or something similar to make ONE hole in the center of the cap.
In the other end make THREE holes like shown below.

Grind at least 1/2 oz of very dry material up. It needs to be very powdery so a coffee grinder is best for this.
You have to use at least a 1/2 oz otherwise the pressure will be too great in the pipe and it will blow the coffee filter out. That makes for a BIG mess. Ive found that 1 oz works best for a pipe this size....but use at least a 1/2 oz.
Use the trim from your harvest for good results.....or the actual bud if you want it better.

Tighten the end with 3 holes onto the end of the pipe with 1 coffee filter between the cap and pipe....you can pull the excess filter off if you want.
Make sure it is tight.

Fill the pipe with fine grinded material....keep it lose but not too lose.....compact but not too compact....happy medium ya know.

Tighten the other cap with 1 hole in it. Make sure it is tight.

Now get a towel,shirt, heavey sock, potholder....anything that you can wrap around the pipe a few times and hold onto it good.
The pipe is going to get REALLY cold REALLY fast so DO NOT hold onto the pipe with bare hands....you WILL drop the pipe and make a HUGE MESS. It will also burn your skin in about .5 seconds so just use the damn towel and trust me on this.

Now you are ready to extract.

DO NOT SMOKE OR DO THIS NEAR FIRE.

Like I said this thing will blow so be very careful.

Point the end of the pipe with three holes toward your glass pyrex bowl.
Insert the can of butain into the other end with 1 hole. You should have cut this hole to fit the nozzel of the butain so that it fits in there snug.
SLOWLY release the butain into the pipe. It will take about 30 seconds for it to come out the other end. when it does it will be a yellow/green color liquid.
Once all the liquid is out of the pipe set the bowl to the side and let it evaporate. Butain will boil at ambiant temps and its pretty cool to watch. It will boil off within 3-4 hours. When you can not smell butain and all the bubbles are gone you are good to go.

I personally like to take a rolling paper and rip it in half. Then i smear it around the bowl and soak up all the goodness. Then take that paper and put it inside another rolling paper to roll one up with.

stems and everything can be ground up.....if it has trichs on it the butain will pull it off.

instead of a second go i would just use a second can right away....that way it collects together.

You can smoke the bud after but its pretty worthless.
