First time using Bubbling bucket. Advise would be much appreciated.

This is an Easy Kush seed that i am using to try out my new bubbling bucket. I have my bucket and all my neuts ready for when it is ready to get put in the bucket. I have it under a 250w CFL on a 18/6 cycle. Should i leave it where it is for the meantime as the roots are not poking out the bottom of the rock wool yet or should i put it in the bucket and top feed it until the roots reach to water. I have read mixed things online but am not sure what would be best.

i'm no expert, but i put mine in the hydroton after i got about 4 leaves, then filled my rez up to the bottom of the rockwool in the net pot. it stayed moist untill i saw roots. then i lowered the rez.

Moved her into the bucket 2 days ago when the root showed on the bottom of the rockwool. This is a week from seed now.

I suggest coating the inside of the box with mylar if you can. If not, then try to paint it a solid whit to maximize lumen out put. She look's like she's stretching.

cover that hole to fight algae. They look good, make sure that you have hydroton about an inch high at the bottom of the net pot, and bring the water level up so the rockwool isnt sitting in it but you can see the water bubbling up into the netpot, when you see roots poking thru (usually 3-7 days later) i lower my water level just below the pots so water bubbles onto the roots making them want to come down into the nuterients

Best advice I can give... KEEP YOUR WATER COLD LIKE 68 degrees and under. trust me keep it cold to avoid problems...

and i never top feed my rockwool, if the bottom is moist the roots will go and suck u the water thus de-hydrating the rockwool forcing the roots to grow in search of more water/nutes, making them grow into the water

Top feeding with a pump is Bubbleponics
No Pump/top feed is DWC , they are basically the same thing minus the top feed and pump, all the pump does is add heat to your reservoir.

I know a lot of shit about DWC it was how I started growing and grew exclusively DWC for a few years. One trick is to just ditch the pump and top feed all together with that kit. raise your water level about 1/2'' - 1'' under the net cup the splashing of the bubbles will keep things wet and keep the roots searching downward for water. DWC is pretty easy but very time consuming. Mulitiple buckets are a bitch unless they are recirculating. You can make DWC very easy for yourself if you just follow some easy steps .. Light proof that res any way you can make sure no light penetrates your plastic tote or bucket. Cool water is very important if you dont want to see slime or root rot keep your water under 68 degrees at all times if you dont you are gonna have to get some knowledge in beneficial bacterias. Cool Waters, No light = No problems. I love DWC you will kill any other form of growing in veg, what takes 6 weeks of vegetative growth in soil can be done in 2 weeks of vegetative DWC grow. Flower times are the same.

This is how its looking now. Its looked great for days then when i checked it today it was showing signs of neutburn on the very tips of the leaves, This was my fault, i gave it full neuts from when i first put it in the bucket not taking its size into account. Since i changed the water with only about a quarter neuts in it, the plants looked quite droopy. Is this just because there was too many neuts?
