I love being homeless

Ok, so I go to College of Charleston and I lived on campus, today I got my last violation and they kicked me out of the dorm. I don't have any money, job, car, or phone and my own mother refuses to let me live at home. So now I'm stuck at Starbucks and I slept outside last night.

I'm just looking for some advice on what to do. I'm still registered as a student and have classes at school but I can't really go now. So I'm clueless. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Uh my only advice is to get your shit together so you don't end uP in this situation again. Try going and appealing the decision or something like that. Or just go occupy somewhere...

Why won't mom let you come home?
Looks like its time to couch hop until you can find a room of your own. Find one buddy who will let you use his address and phone #, now start job hunting. McDonalds is where i would start, food, bathrooms, phone, wifi, dumpster area, etc.
Keep couch hopping until you save up enough to go rent a room (cheapest way to start usually), now its time to start off with life! Sucks but looks likes its the cards you were dealt.
My mom tried some shit like this with me when i was 18, a decade later and i still don't talk to her. She has never even seen my son. Make sure she realizes you are sleeping on the street and that this will ruin your relationship for the rest of your life.

What did you do to get the violation?
A few violations for smoking and then the rest were alcohol violations.

I'm not totally sure why my mom won't let me come back. I called her and told her what happened and she just said no and hung up. I've tried calling her back on some random phones but she won't answer. Or if she does and I say it's me, she just hangs up.

Hate to say it but its time to man up. No more college boy, now its time to be a man and make your own way in life. I would try to get a hold of everyone you know to at least get the address and phone number on lock down, then spend all your time trying to find a job.

It's a hard lesson to learn. Maybe sober up and work on gettin' back on your feet. It seems you have a problem with moderation if you just smoked and drank and are now homeless.
Start hittin' up your resources, friends, family, exes, whatever.

Why can't you go to school? I know several homeless students. It's a great way to pass the day and hook up with couches to crash on. Generally no one cares if a college student passes out in a warm library...

Time quit drinking, drugging and smoking. Then you might be able to finish school, repair your relationship with your mom and or get a job.

Best wishes!

Half of the violations were my roomate. The alcohol was all me but the smoking got us both and that's what go me kicked out. I'm going to give up school, I'd rather go to school homeless than not go at all.

I'm sure she got fed up with my bullshit, but I don't know why she won't even talk to me. I realize it's my own fault so I'm not mad, I'm just desperate.

You did it to yourself.

^^^i agree, if smoking and drinking starts affecting your life naggativly, that when you need a little sobriety. I smoke and drink a lot, but if it began affecting my job or friendships in a bad way I would stop. Maybe it's time for that.

Maybe in her mind she was saying,'my sweet son is in college on the right track when everyone thought including herself that he would be in jail or somewhere dead, trying to make something of himself do his mother proud show the world will be a success', then boom out of the blue you call and say, mom I got kicked out of my living quarters.

Do you have anywhere to stay for the night?. Sounds like the parents are doing the tough love thing with you. If worse comes to worse, there's a Salvation Army near you here:
http://www.homelessshelterdirectory.org/cgi-bin/id/shelter.cgi?shelter=10310

They will even pay you to go play santa and ring a bell right now. I know, not the best thought...but better than being homeless during the holidays.

If you ever intend to return to school, make sure you officially withdraw from all your classes or you will have failing grades on your transcripts when you finish and try to get a better job. Not a good thing. Take a good hard look at your life and make an honest decision about your future and your family relationships. Rebuilding relationships is a time consuming thing, but if you have been a fuckup for a while, it takes time. I don't mean to sound like some goody two shoes BUT, the old adage that "actions speak louder than words" is real truth. Also, I speak from a similar but different experience. Once you really fuck things up, it is HARD WORK, to fix them. Good Luck, you just have to figure out what you want out of life and work for it. Don't try to scam your way back. You will really ruin everything, and quite probably be considered a permanent waste of time and effort. Peace. Be kind

You can score enough food to live on out of the trash at a mall food court, just hang out and watch people eat and when their done and dont finish move in and score left overs- that way you can try to avoid getting sick from eating anything nasty- use your judgement on if it's safe to eat after the person- Try to find an empty stair case or laundry room to sleep in apt complexes are your friend- follow someone in and sleep in the laundry room. You can hang around the library to use the internet.
