ooooh rite well in that case what you wana do is duct tape 4 bamboo canes around the pot then you can tie to them and still move the plant when you need to, i do this myself from the off so that i can start training them as soon as i think there big enough.

If your Lst'ing just drill some holes around the top of the pots to tie the string to, it makes things a lot easier if you have to move the plant.
what i did was drilll the holes then take dry wall srews and put them thro the holes then u can tight them byscrewing the screw more into the pot

Well what the problem is now is that I have to keep the stems from breaking under thier own weight, so I have to tie them to the ceiling. AND THUS, cannot move the plant. So essentially my only option is to put a towel around the holes while watering and for a little bit after to absorb access water/nutes. (Because I cannot move the plant.)
With help, lift her up a little and slide a boot tray up under her to catch any runoff. Then you can leave the runoff in the tray for her to wick back up as she wants it.

Pretty sure its not a good idea to let the plant sit in runoff water, after all it excess water the medium doesnt need and its going to keep the soil wet for longer which is going to reduce the amount of oxygen in the medium/ roots.

OK EVERYONE, The problem is fixed.

-I duct taped 4 bamboo sticks to the outside of the pot.
-Tied all main kolas to a bamboo stint.
-I can now lift my pot out of the tray/pick up my plant.
-I now have ZERO PLANT PROBLEMS.

- I have pictures.

This broad is getting TALLLL, it's the leaning tower of dankness. Lols.

HERE is a question. I am roughly 5 1/4 weeks into flowering........and from what I am reading, (and correct me if i'm wrong) BUT, should I be seeing some yellowing of the lower leaves by now?

I read this earlier......

"5+ During this period you will likely see lots of yellowing on leaves and if you have done everything else right you will see the buds fill in and thicken substantially."

SO, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG, I have seen 1/2 of a SINGLE leaf turn yellow. LOL, is this all right?

Looking good man, buds starting to fill in nicely. You definitely want to lst your plants earlier on next time around as that seems to your main issue (supporting the lanky stems). A good trained plant will make much more efficient use of the lighting and you won't need side lighting (or those bamboo shoots). Other than that looks like you're plant is coming along nice and the side buds are filling it great despite not having the side lighting. Check out my thread for some frosty day 22 bud pics ;)

As for the 2700k vs 6500k proportions im using a lil over 200w and out of that, i have 2 26w 5000k bulbs. For what its worth, the buds that are close to the 5000k's seem to be the frostiest... it could simply just be the light they give off makes the trichs more visible but im leaving them in there ;)

Wasn't subbed before, but now i am, keep up the good work CC

SUBED? AWESOME, Funny you would....I have seen you around the forums and was hoping that you would eventually make your way to my grow. (Since you seem to know what you are talking about.)

-Yeah, since this was my first grow, there was a LOT of learning going on. lol. As far as the lst goes. I actually pretty much lsted from the get go, but seeing as how I am an amateur, made an amateur mistake, and took away the strings after going into flowering. (turning my 8+ main tops, into 5, then eventually to the 4 I have now.) LESSON LEARNED. I probably should have kept the strings on huh?

-This plant was meant to yield as much as possible right from the beginning, because I smoke entirely too much after quitting booze/cigs. (If I had enough to support MY smoking, I would smoke somewhere in-between an eighth and a quarter a day.) So essentially I wanted it to get max height before turning over to 12/12....me being NEW I only expected it to double in size. IT TRIPLED. So now, I am left trying my hardest to keep this tall-ass-beastly-beast alive. NEXT TIME: I think I will go for more of a short bushy type plant.....or possibly a scrog grow. Seems like the best option for a small space. THANKS for stopping by man, I will keep everyone posted as the plant gets bigger/smellier. :P

I've read through here before just never subbed... happens a lot when you're lit haha. Ya, switched to a mini scrog, then back to LST at one point. I was extremley limited on height so i had to lst as soon as my plants were tall enough to bend over lol. Sure, some of the leaves touched the soil for awhile but that didn't seem to have much of an effect. And yes, never underestimate that initial flowering stretch lol... so much lst done in the first week of flowering lol

It starts at around 5 weeks. Since you are now at 5-1/4 weeks, I'd say you shouldn't see a lot of yellowing yet...if you do, you've got issues. By the time you harvest, you will see many, many yellow leaves... LOL

LOL, thanks. I am one of those: This is my first time, SO, I'm gonna worry about EVERYTHING-kind of growers. Sorry, lol.

Thanks for confirming the time frame on the yellowing leaves, it makes me glad I don't have any full yellow leaves! :P

Hey, no sweat! We've all been there... I bet you still stare at yours for a period of time exceeding 2 hours per day. LOL (me too)

Sure do! LOL! God only knows how much time I will spend with her once I get my MAGNIFIER. :P Either way, she loves the C02.

Thanks for stopping by, Bluejeans...Gonna go check out YOUR journal. :)

Did it come with a sunglass tint? Mine did! LOl
Still haven't went out and picked one up yet. I figured I would wait until further down the line, that way I can hold off on expanding my "peeping" hours too much....at least until the trics are more prevalent. As soon as the buds swell though, I am going out and getting one immediately. LOL

Just so you know... I nearly went blind the first day I had my magnifier! I stared through that tiny little hole for a solid hour, non-stop...when I finally looked up, my neck, back, shoulders, and most of the rest of me hurt from sitting so long in one position and I literally could NOT focus my eyes for several minutes...

I can't imagine looking through a magnifying glass... i can't focus after looking at my plants for like 10 minutes if I leave them in the cab
