under feeding? nute burn? dwc problems

can any of you tell me whats going on by these pictures?

Bigger plant is 2 weeks old

as i was doing more research I read that if your tap water is say 100ppm and I add nutes... (i only added 1 ML of each ph perfect AN sensi grow A/B ) and final ppm is 150 then I only have added 50ppm of nutes. My res is 5 gal with about 2.5 gal of water inside.

I think i may have been under feeding my plants.. but the very tips started to yellow and brown so i was told nute burn so i flushed in ph water.

Under 1 leaf on the small plant it is slightly turning red.

I just did another res change and they are in PH water right now...just been trying to research whats going on.

IMHO they are to young to be giving them nutes just yet.

i would wait till they are a bit bigger..they will tell you when they are hungry.

Maybe nute burn, but I doubt it since you don't have much in there. Could be your light is too close.. what's your wattage and how close it is?

the light is pretty close i put a peice of plexi under my fixture so i could get them close... I have 4 23w 6500k bulbs and 4 2700k but i really have only left the 6500 ones on because im not sure if i can use those together for veg

i check mine in the morning just after i wake up..its normally around 6.2 and i adjust it down to 5.8 5.7ish..i am also using GH Flora Nova grow and bloom nutes.

i am also using 5 gal buckets with about 4 gallons of water in them.

yes you can use both color temp bulbs say 2- 6500k/ 1- 2700k for veg and 2-2700k / 1-6500k for flowering or in your case 4- 6500k / 2 -2700k for veg and 4 -2700k / 2- 6500k for flowering :bigjoint:

I have been using vinegar to bring my PH down... i dont know if thats good or bad... I just checked my PH and it has rose to 7 again..

Also shouldnt my plants be a bit bigger? I feel like they have stunted in growth compared to other journals im looking at

i have 1 5gal res for both plants..... how much nutes do you use in your setup?

alot of us use a ppm or a EC meter.

here's a ballpark range.

Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

(this excludes the ppm of your water)

Good lookin setup...I like to bury the top of the cubes with hydroton, just so they dont dry out as quick and less chance of a mold buildup. I started my 12 day old seedlings on 1/4 strength nutes and they exploded overnight.

I have a ppm meter... I really think shes not getting fed enough but im so confused if she got nute burn??

after the nute burn i flushed the res yesterday and now today I added 1ML of each sensi grow a/B and now my ppm is 170.... ppm of water is 110 so thers only 60 ppm nutes.. i guess im under feeding her huh?


Growth has stopped it seems.. its been lthis size about 4 days now

and the 2 small starter leaves on the small plant are yellowing as welll... everything is turning yellow ahhh

I wouldnt use vinegar myself, get yourself some ph up and ph down, its pretty cheap. Also I make it a rule not to judge my plant growth by others pictures, there are way to many variables to consider. Once you get your PH and nutes dialed in your plants should take off (1/2"-2") per day.

snicol thanks... my cars @ the shop so i havent had a way to pick up any PH down just stuck using what i got around the house... but i will deff pick some up this weekend.

Do you guys think i should add more nutes or see what happens ?

I know thats what ive read everywhere but to my calculations 1/4 strength is 3ml per gal and it seems my plants already got burnt by only 1ml in 2.5 gal?

well you guys can close this thread... had a very bad experience this morning.

My roommate and his girl got in a domestic dispute last night while i was sleeping she called the cops on him and they both left shortly after. They left the door unlocked when they left and when the cops came they walked right in to find my bong and some grinded up herb which gave them a reason to search my whole house upon which they found my ''stealth'' grow ...

I did not have my fan on that i use to cover up the fans in the stealth dresser and im guessing they got curious and started really lookin into it....(i was downstairs in cuffs as they searched the upstairs where i reside) They took my 2 babies, bong, scales, ph meter, tds meter, brand new bottles of nutes ...

I was just trying to grow for personal use because i got shot trying to buy last year and figured this is the only way i wouldnt face that problem again and I just lost alot of money and have these charges to deal with.. Iwish everyone the best on this site you guys were always eager to help when i approached a problem.

I guess i will go try to buy some bud now.. pz guys
