Very Nice job on the Lights MATT!!! cant wait to see these babies grow!!!
Wow. I wonder how much bigger they are than my 68 watters, that I thought were monsters too! are these screw in types that fit a regular socket? And where did you get them?well finally my new lights came in, these things are monsters LOL
yes they screw into a normal light bulb fixture. i ordered them from 1000bulbs.comWow. I wonder how much bigger they are than my 68 watters, that I thought were monsters too! are these screw in types that fit a regular socket? And where did you get them?
i only got to have them plugged in for 20 min so im not sure but the temp did increase about 4 degrees Farinheight, went from 80 to 83/84 then seemed to maintain.Awesome bro! Those are some big freaking cfls! Do they up your temp much?
yeah buty they are wicked cool lookingRight on Matt, i may have to check that site out. Im not to far from Texas
I just ordered a 90 watt triband LED light for my Cab kinda nervous to try LED's i have never used colored lights? its going to feel weird!
Thought that may happen...I don't really have any good advice except the generic answer of increase your exhaust/passive intake. Sorry I can't help more without being there bro.alright i gots my first issue >< heat. these 2 new lights are bringing my temps up to around 90. i opened the door to the cab and its dropping at a steady pace but i am going away for the weekend and need to keep it closed, any ideas guys?
on a the posotive side i been gone for 6 hours and i can see better growth already, leaves are perking up and side nodes are developing a bit quick. i know i know you say how can you tell in only 6 hours but trust me i look at these plants CONSTANTLY they are my pride and joy (untill tomorow) and i can just tell.
Just up your CFM's... get more air going 'round in there... I have 6 of the 68wattes (300eq) and it does get toasty in there.alright i gots my first issue >< heat. these 2 new lights are bringing my temps up to around 90. i opened the door to the cab and its dropping at a steady pace but i am going away for the weekend and need to keep it closed, any ideas guys?

Heres a mini update. my plants growth has stunted pretty bad due to the nute burn so im hoping by the time i get back from the hospital this weekend (my wife is going in for scheduled C section for my son) they will have come out of it.
i have to pull my plants out of my cab and pull the cab out and fix it, for some reason the door has moved down and i can shut it, i could always just cut it to fit but i would rather see why its not fitting anymore when it used to. while i have the cab out im going to install another PC fan i figure im going to need it with the extra 210w in there after thursday.
the planters i used are the houshold type with the water cather attached to the bottomsimilar to this one. so i pulled the catcher off the bottom and rested the pots back inside it without attaching it, giving the drainage holes on the bottom about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the catcher. then i drilled holes all around the sides of the catcher to hopefully allow better drainage (wich i dont think it had bad drainage to begin with but the more the better i guess) and help with airflow.
my bulbs have been shipped, supposed to be here on thursday so im hoping that works out. already have the cab wired and set to just screw them in.
i am really contemplating a complete flush today with around 10 gallons of water to hopefully rid any nutrients in the soil out so i can start them on my own feeding schedule when they start to come back and start growing good again.
not sure if i should water thursday night before i leave for the weekend or not. they have not had water since i transplanted on 11/23 wich is a full week ago, think i should let them go the weekend as well? the soil is definatly not "wet" even 3-4 inch down. it is completly dry for the first inch then damp past that. im thinking if i dont flush then leaving them and not watering is probally my best bet since i wont be here to monitor if anything does happen.

the first pic is the modification i made to my pots and second is just a pic of the plants, as you can see not much happening since last update.
Edit, just compared some pics from the night before last to this new one and they do seem to be perking up a bit so there still is hope!!!
been steady at about 80 during the day until today when i got new bulbsheat could be stuntin the growth
I've got one in my sig, check it out. The SCROG, JUST started Like the top of the plant just hit the grillThose new CFL's are NOT small man!! This will be the first scrog grow I watch happen Good luck bud!
i wasnt going to keep a mother i was going to just take a clone off the plant thats next up for the flower room and keep rotating that wayIm working on getting a veg box right now so i can do the SOG as well, being an outdoor gardener i never had the option of doing that. It seems like u got the basic idea down, u could always get feminized seeds but if u can and are able having a mother plant is awesome! Its just double the money and space cuz now u gotta have another grow box! ahhh if i just had a basement lolol
