Best organic nutes?

Did you really use all the organic traditions? Specifically the gypsum, manure, compost starter, soil acidifier?
Thanks for the help, I'll be trying this for one of my plants in January, and once I get it dialed in I'll do it for my whole garden.
I'd do it for the whole thing right off the bat. Dialling it in is a non issue when you mix it right. Then, just watch the plants and give them what they ask for. I've never used the soil acidifier, as that has never been a problem for me (High pH), but I have recommended it to others. Never used the gypsum either. I have used the compost starter early on, but I now have my own composting bin. The manures I use are rabbit poo and yard bird guano (chicken shit!!) You can't beat Rabbit Poo!!! Do some research on it. It is the BEST of all manures, with the added benefit of Triacontinol. If you can find a breeder, I highly recommend you get as much as you can. Use it to ammend your soil, or use it as a tea. No need to compost it, it can be used right out of the rabbit. I will compost the chicken manure for a year before I ever use it, and then only as a tea. DO NOT forget your EWC either!! Very important! Again, ammend the soil with it, or use it in teas.
Once you try the Espoma, the only change you will ever make is if you go the entirely truly organic road, collecting your own manures, making compost, etc. It just doesn't get any easier than what Espoma nutes will be. I'm actually working harder now than I was using them, but it's a labor of love!!

Chem Dawg, Man. A guy just can't argue with THAT, my friend. But have you ever tried the Espoma, or a good organic nute similar to it? Or did you start out with that and see no reason to change? I aint arguing or picking a fight here, 'cuz what you are doing is OBVIOUSLY working, and working well. It's just that you can get those same results for a lot less than half of what you're paying now, get it all locally, and probably a lot less work (IF thats even a factor). These are my JH grown in Espoma.

Earth juice has most of these key ingredients already, why mix I yourself? EJ is cheap and works extremely well for me.

Major props to all !!!!!! +rep to all

You all have shown positively that there is more than one way to relieve a feline of its fur with organics.:weed::weed:

Will work fine. Google FPE (Fermented Plant Extracts), for a shit ton of reading.

I use Comfrey and Dandelion myself, because that's what I have the most of.

Stinks like shit and works great. I don't bother boiling it, why would you want to sterilize it and kill all the goodies?

Wet
i just thought of it incase your doing hydroponics to sterilize it i dunno but i have even saved all my stems from plants and mushed it all in there its amazing how good it really is like i said was shocked at how much the ppm raised in just 1 week imagine you make 20 litre mix of this stuff and 60 more litres of water to it you probably have
b 80 litres of 800 ppm food with all the stuff needed to keep it green veg and flower

Not to bash earth juice but here is why I mix it myself. Bulk organic amendments are CHEAP!!! All the amendments on my list are ~$1/lb. 5lbs of Earth Juice Rainbow Mix - the cheaper dry amendments is $15, 3 times more expensive by weight. And then you need to look at what is in it. Rainbow mix is rated at 1-9-2 which isn't at all bad for an organic bloom mixture but keep in mind that the numbers correlate to percentage my weight. If I mix my 3 lbs of 0-20-0 bone meal, 1 lb 12-1-1 feather meal, and 1lb of 0-1-18 kelp meal I'll end up with 5lbs of 2.4-12-3.8 - not only did I pay 1/3 the price per pound but I'm also getting more than twice the N and almost twice the K as well as more P too.

More than the cost, I like the freedom to vary my mix as I see fit. If I'm veggin longer than normal I'll add more feather meal or nitrogen heavy bone meal, if I'm vegging for real short I use a more finely ground bone meal and kelp meal to increase mineralization rates...

A bunch of great organic grows going on. Congrats everyone. Nice to see people doing it the natural way.

No Argument here man... Those plants are beateous Bro!! Ive tried a few water only soil mixes but really liked the overall quality of bud I get with Bio Bizz. Like said I pretty much have this nutrient system dialed into my garden and grow style but im always open to advice and new ideas man. Thats why I love cultivation man its a never ending learning process! Each one teach one brotha so believe im taking notes....

See, I never tried the Bio Bizz. If it works for you brother....BRAVO!! (and it sure does seem to be working!!) I just see many newbies that have problems using the bottled nutes. Not so much the BioBizz, but others that I shall not name for the sake of propriety. I love the truly organic nature of my grows, but it IS a lot more work chasing down the ingredients. I drive about 100 sq miles every couple weeks just collecting rabbit poo!! Not to mention collecting egg shells, composting, making bio char, etc. I enjoy it tho. Anyone who says organics is less work is wrong. It's just a different KIND of work.
This is great meeting other growers who are open to new ideas and exchange of info, and aren't convinced that their way is the only way!!! I learn shit here every day, and file away the info to try some of it every grow. I take what I think I can use, and just admire the rest. Keep rocking guy!!

I'm very interested in trying the espoma line. I'm currently using FFOF and top dressing with espoma dolomite. If you don't mind I have a few questions.
Did you use plant tone and bio tone at the same time?
Did you mix it with the soil or top dress?
Did you just top dress the bone meal and kelp?
How much of each did you use per gallon?
The Garden-Tone and Plant-Tone both already contain Bio-Tone, no need to add it when using them......

I premix my medium with Plant-Tone(when I use it)at a rate of 2 tablespoons per gallon of medium. The as flower begins and the plant calls for additional food I top dress with Garden-Tone, say a 3 gal pot would get a Tablespoon or 2 every 3 weeks or so as the plant needs it..........

Is that all you use?

When you guys make your soils do you fill the pot with only that or do you do half super soil and half base soil like in sub cool's recipe?

Jack Harer

Only that. My mix (and I assume the others as well) is some what akin to the Super Soil, just our own recipes. Not far off tho.

Poser organics? What are we in high school now?

In case you didn't read the original post, he is a beginner. The last thing you want to tell him is to start out making supersoils when he hasn't even had any experience with a basic organic grow. Just bad advice, sorry.

Bottled organic nute lines are the very BEST way to learn how to grow organically.

Everything you posted that you use, EVERYTHING, is contained in my Earth Juice line-up.

Please don't call a person who grows organically different than yourself a poser, it's not like you're in a lab or out in a forest extracting and producing your own blood and bone meal, your own kelp and bird and bat guano. You are buying these products much like a baker buys flour and yeast. Your version of organic in no more organic than ours.

Your real soil is not the preferred type. Makes me wonder if the amount of posts one makes means anything on these forums.

Friend. Please ignore everything you are told here, it will only confuse you as everybody like with every subject has their own opinions. So read up and learn, but ignore it all. If your goal is to get started with organics it's best to use a simple line-up then work your way to a custom feed system or even the old school supersoil grows.

I use Earth Juice original line-up. Pretty basic. Grow, Bloom, MicroBlast, Catalyst, MetaK and Hi-Brix(molasses). I use a NORMAL soil, not bog soil or some ancient sand from some underground city. I use organic potting soil(sunshine brand, any organic brand will do) perlite, vermiculite, worm castings and dolomite lime to help with pH stability. I mix it 40% soil/40% perlite/ 10% vermiculite/10% worm castings and a 1/2 to cup of lime depending on container size. I could also throw in the fact I use Rhizotonic for root growth and humic acid throughout the grow to help with nute uptake and maintain harmony within my soil, but that's something specific and I know you're not asking this.

You want basics. I'm a Earth Juice fan so this is what I'm going to recommend, it has more of a learning curve than most but that's part of the fun. Bio Canna is good, BMO, Fox Farm of course. Do the basics, then with each grow you can experiment, tweak, modify and add new products and techniques until you create and master your very own system.

There is nothing wrong growing in "supersoils" as some here suggest, but this is not a way to start for most novice organic growers, nor is it a way for those of use who have less time and space to invest into this amazing hobby as a pre-made organic line-up is much more simpler and efficient for those of us who have lives outside of this hobby. No offense anyone.

Good Luck

If you had bothered to read the entire thread, you'd know that we steered him to a very easy (and inexpensive) off the shelf organic nutrient. He asked us some other questions, then the discourse went of on the tangent where you stepped in. There is nothing wrong in the way you do things (other than cost), but when you go telling someone to ignore a number of very experienced growers, I gotta wonder about ya.
Seems to me things were going along pretty well, and the guy was getting his questions answered until you threw a monkey wrench in, calling people posers.
Nobody told him to make his own soil. You jumped in to the ass end of a conversation without all the facts.
