Take the Peroxide and spray it directly on the roots. Just make sure its the 3% kind, that you can spray directly on them. After 24 hours Peroxide is no longer active so you dont have to worry!

Make all your coffee tomorrow morning and sell it outside your house for .25 Cents a cup. Then you can have your CoCo Coffee Grow going!!!!

@Smelly I would try a 2" cause it gives you more Res area. I am sure the stalk wont out grow a 2" net pot. I have a 3 or 4 inch one but I think that takes up too much res space. The only concern I see with a 2" netpot is the stalk out growing it.

worry? worry like when I act a fool and pour 2 caps of 3% peroxide in my res and the roots start drying up and dying? or was this for other reasons? it just happened after i added to res.....this plant is my learning experience, all the do's and donts are taking place. I poured that res out and just put in a new mix, if it aint broke...

Dont know why or how your roots dried up and died???? If anything its probably the roots that are infected that died off. I have pour straight peroxide through my net pots when they had brown slime and they did not dry up and die. They got fizzy from eating away the slime and I did it 2 times to my plants. Was there anything else in the res or just plain water when you put the peroxide in? I am sorry that happened to your roots, I wouldn't post something if I hadnt tried it myself so out of 3 plants I did this with none of their roots dried and died.

they didnt fully die, a lot of the new roots shriveled and turned brown and stringy dead on the tips, above is white, and they seem to be more stiff, like their frozen...the only different thing I did other than peroxide was dropping in ice water bottles to keep my res cool, think it was too cold and burned the roots??

Don't put any ice in the res, if you want to cool down your res temps put the ice on the outside of the container. Since your using a small container as a res, get a Sauce Pan and fill with ice and put the growing container inside that to keep the res cool....keep them around 65-68F. Thats what I shoot for with my res temps, not sure if its the best temps for my res but the roots seem to like it...

how much are you expecting to get off of your 5 Gallon?
Not sure, still too early to Guesstimate....its by far my largest grown plant. I am happy that the plant didnt stretch that much cause I am in a 4'x4'x6 1/2' tent. I am hoping for a lot.

WoW looks so healthy very nice work! Graduated up to the 5 gal lol, looks very juicy for how young she is!! I think I'm going to do a 2 week veg or so and try and finish it out in the big coffie container. U try that yet? +REP for some well grown ladies!

I've got my blackberry already rooted, I'm going to grab the net cup tomorrow and I'll get some pics up when shes up and running :) So 2 weeks under some cfl's and I'll throw her under the hps!!

I havent finished one in a Coffee Can, but I am going to in a few more weeks, like 6....lol Its going to be a challenge cause the eat so much and the res are small. More and more frequent feedings but its fun and interesting. I already pollinated my whole Coffee Can Grow. I am after the beans.

Post your set up when you get it running tomorrow.

@mike, that plant in the pics had a peroxide treatment, she had some brown slime and now she is much better. Her roots didnt try or stiffen from it.

Definitely about to do me a party cup seed run as well √√ I think once I start my coffee can grow, I'll make it a dual res......like my 2 gal res I have now, but just throw a pump in it, and pump it into the coffee can. I absolutely know that I'll forget to add water at least once ><

Subbed. I'm a soil fanatic,
and a small hobby grower.
If I ever went DWC, this would be the way I go.

DO IT :) All you need is a small pump, I got mine 10 bucks at petsmart lol, airstone and a coffie container lol. You will enjoy it if you enjoy soil!

I would go 3", the 2" pots lose stability towards the middle of flower. Not enough depth to support the whole plant.
Thanks for the tip, I was actually concerned about that so I'll definitely go with the 3". Is everyone one using hydroton?

I'm gonna see if I can get away with 2 in my flowering cab instead of all party cups off to the side lol. 1 blackberry and 1 og kush!
