Or maybe they are drinking the nutrients and not the water? I don't know all I did was dump enough water into the buckets to leave a lil space under the net pot. Then I just mixed a bunch of shit in there and yea, now I don't know what to do. Please respond.Hmmm, did you mix the res when it had flooded the plants and a lot of the water was still inside the media?
It makes no sense for it to have dropped, most of the time it rises because your plants are drinking the water and the water is evaporating thus making the other 999,400 part of that ppm figure decrease which in turn makes the nutrient ppm increase.
I'm only a beginner, but thats the only way it'd make sense is if some of the water was stuck in the media, and then now you measure most of its gone out of the media and diluting your solution further.
Or your meter is off? Still doesn't make sense that it read 600 yesterday and 300 today.
I know my res at 40 gallons i do about 500ppm and after some water is gone its up to like 550-600
Im dumping 20ml of each in my 4 gallon buckets:calmag, botanicare aqua shield, some cns107 or something, and liquid karma. Ill check ppm again maybe bubbles are messing with me.ur meter is fucked. lol. good luck. ur ppms should never be that far off after one day. are u using any h2o2 with any bacteria?
what nutes are u using and in what increments?
I burned a couple I think what do I do?I would bump it up to 800 and see if it goes down as much or if your plants have any signs of burn. I would say youre right and the plants are drinking more nutes than water at 600ppm. There should be a point when theyre absorbing the proportional amount of nutes to water and the ppm stays constant. And anyways ide rather be giving my plants more nutes if theyre hungry as long as you dont burn them.
Yeah I think its a defiency too. Idk what though? Yo ima just dump everything I got except for calmag every and see what happens.Ill need someone to back me up on this.. but im not sure thats nute burn that almost looks like a mild deficiency. I would still try putting it up to to 700-800 and keep a close eye on them. I had mine around 800-1000 after week 2 and my babies loved it. I also had pretty high temps (83-85) and added some co2 which may have helped idk, but these things should increase their metabolism.
hey check out this thread bro it will help u with a lot. looks burnt to me. dial it back. u may be over feeding them quite a bit at 3 weeks. how hot is the temp of ur room? after the first day how much did the water level lower? an inch or more in each of the buckets in just that one day or was the water level still the same? cuz 300 ppms is a ton for a plant that size to eat in just one days time.I burned a couple I think what do I do?
dont do that. look at the post above and chack out the link.Yeah I think its a defiency too. Idk what though? Yo ima just dump everything I got except for calmag every and see what happens.
So you're saying that once I add all the nutrients correctly my ph is going to be a little high and will need ph down? The ph was 5.5-5.8 when I first dumped nutrients in so I didn't adjust anything. So they are DWC buckets? Usually I top out around 1.2 EC in DWC... so on a 500ppm scale that's 600ppm max. When you are using a setup where the roots have constant contact with the solution, you typically use 1/2 strength recommended. Ionic for instance recommends 1.8 EC therefore your target EC should be around 1 at the tops (500ppm) I would say your probably over doing the nutes if the Ph is spot on 5.8.
