This is what leads to politicians passing legislation that their constituents vote on based on religious dogma that keeps them in power. This "passive" belief..

It takes a lifetime of work, Pad. I smoked a bowl while watching this video, and kept smiling when my eye kept going to the upper left corner of the screen. There it reads, 'On Knees for Jesus'!

That's funny that you say that, Hep! I was thinking the same thing a few times, that this has to be a parody. Heis turned me on to this concept, and it's so true: Poe's Corollary: It is impossible for an act of Fundamentalism to be made that someone won't mistake for a parody.

Watching that video on youtube I picked up a Heinlein quote I never heard.

The most ridiculous concept ever perpetrated by H.Sapiens is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of the Universes, wants the sacharrine adoration of his creations, that he can be persuaded by their prayers, and becomes petulant if he does not recieve this flattery. Yet this ridiculous notion, without one real shred of evidence to bolster it, has gone on to found one of the oldest, largest and least productive industries in history.

Hep, I was thinking they might be too. BTW, that's where Poe's Law come into play. That you actually think that makes you more rational than they are, which you have also shown by your posts. The longer you dialogue with us the more chance you will come over to the dark side. Losing belief is a process that can happen to anyone that can think logically. Don't dismiss the possibility.
