Wife and I are planning to spend Friday night there and maybe Sat night also? Spoke with JR of Jr's Texas bar-b-que and he's got us timed for 2.00 pm Sat for the 50 dinners ordered, his brisket will melt in your mouth. Wife's just about finished with making the pies and the RV is gassed and loaded. Hope to arrive sometime around 1 pm and set up camp, boat will be brought over Sat morning by one of my sons.
JJ, are those oranges any good? throw some in the camper for me..

if i show up it will only be on saturday. mostly just to smoke out and have a fat plate of food. it's just too damn cold and i have too much going on to spend 3 days away from home.
i bought a new welder yesterday. my boat is about 3 days from being done.

Starting to think here.. I was going to buy 4-5 tri tip and bring them as well... and garlic bread for steak sandwhiches.. mostly for the late night crowd staying the night Sat. Maybe overkill? Hey FDD did you get the tritip already? and how many? If I remember right, you were not a BBQ'er? Maybe I can bring some other munchies and help cook tritip and the garlic bread. Hmmm decisions decisions. And there is a couple cases of chicken coming?what am i gonna do with all this tri tip? :/
i'm going to costco tomorrow. i haven't gotten anything yet.

I'm in lodi. leaving tomorrow morning, heading to costco then to camp to drop stuff off. I'm heading back and staying the night at home and heading back up saturday morning. There's room in the forester with the lady and me if you want a ride!

Well my Rover is NOT gonna be done in time for the weekend.....DOH!! I put it in the shop beginning of the week cause I had a water leak and couldn't keep antifreeze in her, thinking it was the water pump, it was supposed ot be in and out same day. They got in it and found it wasn't the pump, it was coming out fromn under the exhaust manifold, and turned out to be a hose connector deal of some kind under there that can't be gotten anywhere but a Rover dealer, and it's gonna take 4 days to get it! I love my LandRover!! haha. oh well, gotta use the wifes Explorer instead, so the power inverter/computer/speakers/rhapsody is out. I'll still be bringing everything else I said I would. I won't be able to get out there until after 12 or so tomorrow cause my wife has to work a while, so I can't steal her truck till she's done around 11 or so, and then I have to load up, so I'll likely be 2 or 3 oclock getting there.
I'll be there both days, but unfortunately, without my rig, I can't stay out there.I'm close enough though to drive home and back out Saturday morning early. The Cheesecake place down the street from me closed up I found out, but I'm still bringing cheesecake, it just won't be from the specialty shop.
Don't forget everybody.........I'm giving a prize to the person that comes from the farthest away to attend, so if you think you might be the one, find me. I'll be doing the give away after the BBQ Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to meeting you all, and I'll see ya out there!!
