What's your Temp?

Indoor temps are beginning to be a pain in the ass. After adding the latest CFL to my little chamber, the temperature shot way up, mid 90's. What would be the best temps under CFL lights, day/night?

90's is too high. Run your lights during the times of the day where its lesss hot. From 12pm to 6pm should be your sleep times. Or 1pm to 7pm. u dont even have pics? post some pics. how the hell am i supposed to visualize something with soo little information. Post pics!!

I try to keep my temps at 79F. That is the ideal temperature.

My grow stays around 69* to 71* while the lights are off and up to 77* while the lights are on. Anything above 85* is too high.

same thing happened to me. Added 4 cfl's to my all ready t5 fixture. temps went from 79 to 92.... fuck that i just took mine out there was no way around it. sometimes you got sacrifice. I don't have mine on just because it won't work and i have a great exhaust system.

unless you can find a way just gotta let them go.

Yeah titycaca. The light I had put in had an extra 4200 lumens at 2700k, but the heat! Better just to have more smaller bulbs strategically placed around plant with the LED above. Between this and the fan noise, damn I can't wait till spring!

I don't know how you guys are having heat problems I'm having cold issues!!! normally my temps range from 70-55 but we just had a snow storm and it was -2 outside and there was ice on the inside of my grow room door, but ambient temps that day got to 41, and that's with 2 400w hps, plants didn't seem affected by it though

Thanx Uber Newb. I was hoping. Just seems too cold slows it down. That judging from last learner, a snowryder auto. It would hav been really awesome if I'd been getting some really good advice then.

yeah, idealy dont let it range greater than 10f in difference. 70f at night and 80f during day is ideal. any less difference is even better.

yea, u will notice cold temps will slow growth also. Also each strain will be effect'ed or affected differently. some strains like colder temps, while others get powdery mildew from too cold. Find a strain that works for your temps

This was MI-5 Auto. Got as free gift before dope-seeds stopped shipping to U.S. The snowryders I got, like I said were just learners. I still have 10 more of them seeds, for when I complete just one chop, I can move on. I have also Super Cali-Haze Fem's from D.S. but know those have to outdoor, or a waste. I'm loving watch it grow, it' stunning.

Yup, dont want to fry your plants thats for sure. Better to just sacrifice a few lumens then to give your plants heat stroke lol

Towley Rules!
