Local Hydro store asked If I wanted seeds or clones....I'm very suspicious!!!

i dunno where you live, but here in the uk that would be seen as entrapment and illegal. cops here cannot pose as dealers, if they can do that in the us i have no idea but if they can thats fucked up.
just get stoned with the guy, take him for a smoke. if he blazes with u he has got to be ok.
 
I have known the guy who owns my grow shop here for like 3 years.....he has done business with me in my trade. He is also a fan of the Grateful Dead, like me. He sold me my set up, and threw in a carbon filter without my asking (I guess he thought my veggies were going to stink). He is super cool. We have traded music and have a great rapport. Never not once has either one of us mentioned weed in relation to growing. That would be breaking the rules. We both know what is up. But, there is a don't ask don't tell policy in this game. Anyone who violates that is immediately suspect in my book. Period. I did 5 1/2 years in jail in my early 20's for weed......it was not worth it. Silenece is golden. Only me and my wife know about out grow, and that is the only way it should be. Period. Just my 2 cents....peace!

I would take it. I never drive my car to the grow shop infact I have my buddy park down the block. Plus they don't know who the fuck I am. An if they do wanna ticket me on the spot it's a $200 dollar fine I would be willing to pay so I could hang out front the next day protesting the shop with all my baked anoying buddies. One clone or seeds here are a small fine.

Then again they probably have GPS on my shirt collar and a Hellicoptor following me with Tom Cruise as the lead agent to bust me for a couple seeds.

Seriously caution is the best. Knowing the law and how to throw it back in their face PRICLESS!
 
I would buy one, but pay cash, if he wants to see a license anything or right anything down be like nooo!!!!!!!!!! and then pull the gun out... the rest is up to you
no but WTF why would a shop make a list of the people they were selling clones to? sounds fucked up, and dosnt sound lie somthing they would do if they were honest.
 
I would smoke a joint with him. If he does great sign. Just don't give him your info or let him know where u live. Besides that you're just a customer. Keep it business like as if it were a light.
 
If hes an undercover officer they can do all the drugs you ask them to if their down, just if their doing acid or somthing like that it cant be used in court cuz it could have been a big trip :P
and if its just some guy at the hydro store he'll have no problem puffin a j then snitching. I dont think ::P

wrong!!!!

they can give the impression of doing drugs, but can never actually do the drugs. i.e. fake smoking a cigarette or joint/blunt....but you cant fake a bong!!! nor the bong smoke!

an officer can never put drugs back out on the street either!
 
If you don't know him I wouldn't trust it. Most store owners wont risk their jobs and business just to hook you up with some shit. I went into my hydro shot at least 20 times and the owner wouldn't even mention pot to me until I met him at a buddies house and we all toked out. Now he's helpful as fuck lol.
 
I thought that a cop couldn't proposition you for a drug sale? Usually on stings they have a 'dealer' look like a drug addict and use general terms, and wait for the seller to come up to the under cover cop. If the cop out of no where, had no idea you grew anything, asked you if you wanted to buy some clones or seeds, sounds like entrapment to me, but what do I know I'm not a lawyer.

Then again there is no saying that he doesn't work for the cops, but isn't one himself. Maybe he got busted and in order to get himself out he has to rat out like 5 other growers or something, that stuff happens. And a growshop that keeps a list of who they sell clones to, makes sense to me if you are crooked. It's your get out of jail free card. "You want to bust me for growing 20 plants? Well, if you let me go I'll give you the list of 50 people I sold clones to over the past 4 years." The cops get more people, the hydro store owner goes 'free', and few people would expect their hydro owner to be ratting them out, after all it would hurt their business if you got locked up.

All and all, too suspicious. On the pro side, you get some sweet clones, on the con side you do serious time in jail ..... in that scenereo the pro hardly outweighs the con.

Yes they can do drugs, not your regualr run of the mill police officer, but detectives on an undercover mission are given permision, and even required to do whatever drugs they have to, to get the bust, again, they are told to try not to take any hallucinogens, but they can do so if they have to. google it, you will find this is true for all of America
as for seling drugs they can do that as well, as long as its an undercover mission and they plan on getting the drugs back shorty after they sell or give them away, again, a quick google search will confirm this.

but they can not straight up offer the drugs, that would be entrapment, you have to ask, they can hint and try and make you ask, but not come out and say it. this is what believes me to think this guy should be safe, unless hes just a snitch
 
I agree with the second part tckfui, but I don't know about the first part. I read a book once, 'Hot Shots and Heavy Hits' about a DEA undercover agent. He made it very clear in the book that leo can not ever do drugs, they can make it look like it, but can't do it. He even told a story about 'trying' some cocaine, dipped his pinky in it, had the other officer distract the dealers for a second, then rubbed his RING finger on his gums .... dealers didn't notice, cleaver.

As far as google goes, good stuff out there, but not all 100% accurate. I remember the librarians in high school warning me about taking searches for granted. If I see it on a government web page, I'll believe it tckfui, untill then I'm not sure. What search thread did you use?

I vote NO to the hydro guy's offer. The number one rule to growing is TELL NO ONE.... and he's SOMEONE.

It's just not worth the risk
 
not to be a dick or anything....but isn't there another hydro store you can go to? i like to avoid shadyness at all costs.
 
Yea if ur groeing ignore that guy. Thinking about it more just makes me wonder how big is his yap. Being someplace you can't get clones I'm sure it's tempting but if you prefer to be safe just deal with the extra weeks from seed.
