Soil is more forgiving in certain ways and hydro is more forgiving in certain ways.
While it's true that you have to stay on top of shit in hydro, I feel that mistakes are easier to correct because indicators show up faster... and so remedies take effect faster. That's how hydro is easier.
In soil, it moves at a slower pace so much more of the process is just sitting back and observing. A lot of soil noobs make the mistake of putting too much shit in the medium, trying to do too much, not fully aware that much of it is a sit and wait process. So they end up overnuting or ph whacking and it results in nutrient lockout that's a bitch and a half to fix.
