ICmag had a real good side by side and the induction fared real good but none of that 300w our light = 1000w hps. It was about watt for watt and the induction had the lead over i think it was a 150w or 250w hps not sure the wattage on the induction but this dudes bulb looks like a $300-400 bulb for the 400w off aliexpress heres a link http://www.aliexpress.com/product-gs/492773607-6500K-400W-biggest-electrodeless-discharge-lamp-120V-220V-277V-Grow-light-low-light-decline-than-LED-wholesalers.html . Its similar they have them in all different sizes and I'd like to try one out someday but my 400w hps w/ cooltube can be w/ in 3-6" of my plants so I don't have any reason to fork over hundreds of bucks for a experiment.

Not much more to see here I guess. At the start I thought they'd be all over this grow.

Been looking around and I found this video on a side by side comparing 1000w HPS to 300 watt induction but not much out there. checked out the site and recommending a low wattage LED bud booster which is supposed to trigger the phytochrome switch in 10-15 minutes. It doesn't look like in the video they're using the boosters though. Anybody tried these combinations?

i think if theres going to be a new light to break the hid market, it will be LED not induction...im all for trying new things, but those lights look ridiculous, and more like old school t12's...i hope im wrong, for your sake...but they dont look like they could grow a blade of grass...let alone MJ.
they'll grow quite a bit more than a blade of grass...

Ok everyone, I've been gone for work for awhile, and its kind of disapointing to see bickering bullshit here. I'm going to resume this and I will not engage in dramatic crap with any of you. I will post pictures and details of how things are going and you can judge for yourself. but please, be all growed up here and act accordingly.

Yes the light hoods were fabricated by me, but my gf and i are partners at a fabrication shop (waterjet, fab and powdercoating), so i am more than capable of building a hood. We may start building hoods for Mike for the commercial grow side of his business and also for any retail customers that he needs a hood for.

The plants under the hps have been flowering for 4 weeks. They are a Blue Dream and a Jerry Berry (thats what i was told and unless one of you can identify it as something else, I'll go with it). The plants under the hfind light have been under it for 5 days, (they were started flowering under the hps for another 7 days while I was getting the hoods built and power boxes built, I ran 220 into the room so i could quit pulling juice through the house)they are also a blue dream and a Jerry Berry. We are staging the plants every 2 weeks. Tonight will be the first side by side start of 2 identical plants under the hps and the hfind.

One thing that i have noticed about the hfinds is that the plants are looking bushier, time and pictures will tell. So far i am happy with the lights and what they are doing.

In the veg tent, there is a 400 watt mh next to the hfind. Unless i am imagining things, the plants under the hfind are also looking bushier.

Here come the pics.

Is that only the new lamps running in those pics? if so they look like they have a nice color balance, due to the pics coming out decent.

It looks like you could drop the light down 6-8" anyways, how does it affect the light spread if they are lower?

props and rep to you for finally gettn up some pics. youv probly taken a little flac on here due to the delays, hopefully it is all worth it.

pretty amazing that you would step up to guinea pig these for us. hopefully others will toss you some rep for all the time n money youv already got into this.

heres to you, i hope you have great results with these. guess we will know soon enough.

the flower tent is partitioned off, the hps is the brighter whiter light, while the hfind is the bluer. the veg tent is not partitioned off, and there is some intermingling of light going on. its a side experiment. however under the hfind, the plants do seem happier. I think that its going to work out. we are going to lower the lights some more, I didn't want to get it to low without knowing what we are dealing with.

it's not meant to be personal bro but you have to understand that people here had bad experiences in the past, and especially with something that lack information from credible sources on the web , that's our nature we can't risk it until we make sure it does work before it goes out for sale.

i really hope it works out for you, i think people would really appreciate it if you keep going with out talking about mike(with all do respect man) and his products by name, and be as non bias as you can. and the more people have success with it the more credible this tech will become. :peace:

I think I speak for most of us here in saying that we were expecting (and would rather see) a full grow done solely with the induction lamp. Good luck either way, hope you get good results.

I'd really much appreciate it if you could give a detailed account on heat generated by induction lights. How does it compare to HPS and anything you are experiencing. Thanks for sharing, good luck
