This makes me crazy!

My roomate and I both have grows. The issue is he absolutely will not stop picking leaves off his girls. They are so skimpy from the daily handfuls he rapes. If this did not effect me I would'nt give a rat's ass. But, when my girls are done, his are so shocked and small that he ends up whining that he does not have enough budz. Then I end up giving him half of mine! He grows 5-7 at a time. I grow 2 and he averages about 3 oz. because of his self imposed dire need to smoke something. While I average 3-5 oz.

Normally, I would tell anyone else to screw off. But, I am living basically for free in his condo. I pay $50.00 a week to him for my share of the bills and that is it. He really is a great friend but this is making me want to :wall:

I don't really expect anyone to suggest a way to get him to stop, I just needed to vent. Thanks!

This is a horribly self-defeating process he's stuck in... he's picking leaves to hold him over? That's madness.

If he's picking fan leaves off to smoke them... if I'm reading that right... he's probably not even getting high off that shit... convince him it would make more sense for you both to grow more plants and to stop raping the leaves...

and if he doesn't stop picking leaves, at least there will be way more bud to go around.

Does he LIKE smoking leaves? wtf dude?

Yeah that is what he does. He also 'suggests' that I should cut branches of my pre-mature girls so he has some budz to smoke. I never agree and we don't argue over it or anything. He really is the best friend I have. And, honestly it is not sharing with him that bugs me. It is the fact that we could have so much more bud if he would just stop.

Man, what is he doing? Does he know anything about growing? I feel like he must not know what he's doing... doesn't he realize that a) there's almost no actives in those fan leaves, and/or b) that they are just there to provide fuel to those buds that ARE full of goodness?

Seriously though, the obvious solution without stepping on your bro's toes (and he's obviously quite generous if he's letting you stay with him, so I wouldn't go steppin) is, grow like 5x more plants in your own op...? You might even harvest one early for him or something... just to hold him over... and then next time, you'll have more overflow and this situation shouldn't develop again...?

I will at some point do just that. But at this time I don't have the extra cash to get more lighting. I have a 250w switchable and a small tent. Just enough for my 2 at a time. What I want to do is get another identical set up and have a perpetual. I think that will help quite a bit.

Okay, so it sounds like he needs help rationing. You might have to get clever. Here's what i just came up with: What if YOU bought a bag of trim off of someone for real cheap... and every time he goes to trim up his plants again, be like "Oh, no man, don't.. i trimmed some for you, here" and give him like 1/20th of the bag at a time, lol.

Right on. I wish my biggest problems were living for free off someone else and having to smoke them up, heh.

It is cool to plan for events and if bartering for rent is in the mix that is even better.
So in this matter we may agree, grow enough for everyone or get your own pad.

In no way do I feel I am being taken advantage of. This guy is like a brother too me. Thanks for the great suggestion Altar. I just despise the thought of paying $60 an eigth for something that I have in my closet. I am sure you can empathize.
