What do I do with all these seedlings?

This is my first grow in many years. I have yet to clone a plant and Im kind of new to HID lamps. That bieng said have done my homework and I think I know what Im doing and have a kick ass setup ready to go.

My problem, I have germinated 8 strains and expect to keep 6 mothers to clone. 3 of those strains are feminized seeds. I have enough room to flower 12 plants under 2- 400w lamps. Im thinking that would give me 2 of each strain per harvest (in a perfect world). I have about 20+ seedlings sprouted. what do I do with them all? I want to plant them but I dont know where to put them all. I expect soon they will be to large for there containers. Do I need to veg all 20 seedlings for 3 weeks then take cuttings to flower in order to figure out which plants have the best growth characteristics.

This is where I plan to keep my mothers, (in a 6 plant DWC)

This is where most of my seedlings are taking root. Notice Im germinating out of the daisy cloner, hey why not?

I was planning on vegging my clones here

Twin 400W HPS tents capable of MH (just incase)

Whats the best way to pick out those 6 super moms? Do I need to clone then flower all of the seedlings?
I can put them 3 inches apart, not exactly ideal but I could fit them all into the flower room and at least see what I have. What do you think? Im thinking I got carried away. lol

Those seedlings in the second pic look like they are stretching. What kinda light you got on those babies?

for seedlings that you just planted or clones I would recomend Flor. Tubes because you can get them close to the plant but it you realy want to have some as a mom the streching could be a good thing but hard to seal with because the plant will droop but Flo tubes are the best

They are under a 125w CFL fixture right now. I have another 200w CFL light I can replace the 125w with. That's probably what Im going to do for the now. They are only 1 week old from seed. So they are still just taking hold, I didnt want to give them to much light being there so fragile.

if you wanted to you can down the wattage and have the light closer to pervent any more streching

you can ship your extra clones to me or you can just sort out the weekest ones and keep the strongest ones to suit your needs. no sence in keeping a week plant, just makes for more problems down the road.

Well it's not a problem anymore, I dont know how but my seedlings are nearly dead. I used the Daisy Cloner to germinate them for the first two weeks. They did great during week 1, but by week 2 they look like hell. Completely stunted, yellowed, and curling at the tips. It's not the nute water because it was used in a DWC system that have yielded 6 perfect plants. Mixed water for both at the same times. Im guessing that it was heat? That little motor in the daisy cloner kept the temp of the water very warm. Every time I picked it up to move it I remember thinking how warm it was. The seeds germinated well with the heat but then it stunted their growth during week 2. I dont know, but you live in learn. Thankfully I have more seeds, now I have too few plants to fill my grow area! I guess I will be vegging then cloning what I have left to pick out my mothers. The seedlings are still alive, but not growing like they should be. I transplanted them into bigger containers with a good flushing of new nute water. Maybe they will bounce back?

These are the good ones

These are the bad ones (both same age)
