are you a four-eyes?

how many fellow four-eyes are there out there? are you blind as a bat? do you have to feel around your dresser every morning for your eyes? can you see like an eagle? do you have astigmatism? do you hate optometry? tell us all about it.

i'm terribly near-sighted. i have to pay extra if i want the thin lenses otherwise i have the coke bottle look when i wear glasses.
i'm lucky that i can wear contacts. it was explained to me that many people with a similar prescription to me are unable to wear contacts

i can see up close like i'm a freaking microscope though.


i can say with 100% certainty that a person would be ill-advised to smoke a fat joint before having an eye test. trust me. now i'm stuck with this prescription for a whole year

Everyone in the family has to wear corrective lenses except for me and my 20/20. I don't know how I did it.

Isn't 20/15 better than 20/20?.cause my friend just got laser eye surgery and 2 out of every 3 patients come out with better eye vision than 20/20 which the Dr said was 20/15.I think the higher the number is the worse.

I'm pretty blind without my contacts. Not sure how all prescriptions go but my left eye is -6.50 and my right is -7.00 with both having a bad astigmatism.

My glasses are easily over a quarter inch thick so I never wear them. Thinking about lasik, my sister got it done and liked the results.

Not really true - you might see MILDLY worse at night than you would with contacts + no surgery, but it's very mild and a stupid reason not to get a wonderful surgery. Buy a headlight if you really need to work in the dark.

After you have it done, there is a halo'ing effect around lights, but it goes away in time. The surgery is just so fucking good, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had perfect vision until a couple of years ago.

Now I am a little far-sighted. But I am too vain to wear glasses. Plus I don't really need them. I figure if I ever need them, the ladies at the motor vehicle bureau will tell me.

I had 20/20 until recently i found out I have astigmatisms in both eyes. New to the whole glasses thing, but I can see prefectly with them again. And I rock em pretty well. Just re-affirming my nerd-dom.

I just got my glasses a couple of years ago, I'm still not used to them. Apparently I'm nearsighted, probably have been for years but I didn't notice I guess. I was one line on the test from having to legally declare lenses on my license.

I had to get glasses @ age 4. Nearsighted 3.25 both eyes. I wear contact's 90% of the time. The worst thing about having bad eye-sight is water-sport's, my experience's with water-skiing where crazy.... watch out for boat's, even the one that's towing ya!!! & snorkeling u have to keep the mask on... just forget about trying to keep your contact's in while learning how surf. And always have extra while driving long distance's...one eye driving sucks .LOL Otherwise I feel lucky to see @ all.

I don't think you understand how it works. You don't loose any vision, you see halo's for a while, then they go away. I had it done, I see perfect, even at night.
