Growth Popping Up From Under Soil On New Clone - Prune?

Dunno how this happened but I noticed some new growth popping up from underneath the soil on a clone that was planted a few days ago. It's about an inch below the soil line and seems to be happy. Should I prune this off? Or just leave the dirt pushed back and let it do it's thing? I figured if I pruned it off, the plant can focus more on the top part of the plant. But then I started thinking that this is one of the way the plant is nourishing itself. Decisions! Any one have an opinion?

I would let it grow out. If ou want it gone, let it grow out a bit and snip it later to make it another clone.

Its simply a node branch that got buried during the re-potting.
No real issue - clip it off if it bugs you.
