I am growing about 15 plants indoors under a 600w HPS which have been budding for about 6 weeks now, and one of the plants has small white powder on a few leaves.

I have 10 or so small clones only about a month old which have more of this powder on the leaves and stems, These plants are near my older budding plants.

Any ideas what this is and what to do?

Should I yank th eyoung ones and clip the older ones ?

thank you very very much.

hydrogen peroxide is supposed to work?

also , maybe if I just keep the temp up for a few days it will kill the mold?

i think the mold will flourish in a warm moist enviroment. the peroxide might take care of it, im not sure, i think it would tho. you could go down to ur local nursery or garden center and ask for something to get rid of with powder mildew, i tihnk tahts what its called. get something all organic if they have it, so it wont affeect the plants tht late in flowering. tell em its something ur gonna eat, so u dont want heavy chemicals in it

I have a 10 day old seeling that has the tiniest little spec of white on its stem right near the dirt, it deffinately doesnt look like it should be there but so far doesnt look serious. so im guessing its mold?

also the plants had a bit of a weak start under CFL light that was too far away becuase I didnt calculate the needed lumens properly, so my seedlings have only one set of true leaves and another set starting which after ten days i think is a bit slow. So I think because of the slow start/low light they may be a little weak/suseptible to mold. I really dont want to have to cull the little one just for a sesame seed sized white spec so im wondering what I can do to spot dab something on that spec and kill it. any suggestions? is hydrogen peroxide a good idea? obviously diluted i would assume... soap? dilute bleach? dilute ammonia? phosphoric acid? bathroom cleaner?

I rubbed some hand soap on my finger and rubbed it on the spec softly... but not sure thatll do it
any other suggestions if it gets worse?

its pm bro and it spreads spores all over your grow,it will ruin your grow FAST.I have a sulfer burner I use but PM is from haveing high humidity or temps that get really hot and then get cold, large differences in daytime and nightime temps will cause pm faster than the high humidity.Im in a new room and had pm on my veg plants right before I flowered them,I ran my sulfer burner and cut all the infected leaves off and should harvest before it comes back.PM is Systemic, that means its in the fiber of your plants. They do make a couple products to kill pm while in veg, sorry nothing works dureing flower...

Theres your fix, I recommend just googling the product tho and finding lowest price yourself

Perspectives :lol:bongsmilie tis is a funny thing, pm to one man means the end of his crop. To the other, he just makes it rain alkaline water & pm wash and goes on with his day.

sulphur burners are fine during flower. also help to kill the fungi that causes bud rots too... also helps to keep bugs down. sulphur burners are a must-have tool for the grower in the know.

Use it at any stage of growth during your light period. Spray it directly on your buds. They love it!

If powdery mildew is really your problem, use the contact solutions like the H2O2 and sulfur and manage temps and humidity to keep it down. Once the clones are in a healthy veg stage then blow em up with a systemic fungicide that is safe for edible foods. Ideally you probably want to treat everything with the systemic then scrub your room down. I've heard of good results from the systemics, but it depends on factors such as how bad you have it, and how good your plants are at resisting it. I personally don't have a sulfur burner, but I know people who have mites/mildew so mad they run that shit weekly because they can't afford the downtime to really clean it up. I would keep most systemics away from anything within a month of harvest, smoking that shit can be bad for your health, however smoking mold can fuck you up too.

It'll help, but it won't get rid of it. Nothing will. You can only control it by treating with serenade occassionally.

...so I have to buy yet ANOTHER bottle of stuff from the hydro store lol

ahh well I see it as an investment

I think it happened because the light was too high and the plants got weak so now the lights are closer hopefuly they can fight it off with a bit of help
