How long were your stir/rest periods? And is it full melt? It looks full melt. I think for most people, unless you are running a lot of hash, you can get the 1 gallon, 4 bag set, and do just fine. In fact, Subcool uses the 1 gallon bags. I use the 5 gallon set, but it is probably overkill.Just took some trim and made a quick batch of bubble hash. Tried to just go for quality vs. quantity here, still have a ton from the last batch.
Great job, man! That 5 minute mix is a huge difference in making it really clean! Good stuff. Check out Matt Rize and his hash threads, I have learned a lot from him. He uses an extra purge of ice cold water to push and remaining plant material through the screen. It works great on the 73u bags, for sure! Not that you had much plant material in that middle one, haha. I have started crushing my Ice, before it goes in, and I think that helps, also. It really seems to mix well that way, and yielded very nicely.
Thanks, full melt refers to the hash being almost void of plant material. So much so that when a flame is put directly on to it, it does not ignite but melts.
