im still learning but i think i am ready to germinate my seeds now but do i have to ph the napkin and water to do it.

i put my seed to germinate without ph how long will it take and how do i know it's ready.

shouldnt need ph i use tap water. Some use distilled water. Anyways set it in a warm dark place (I find the back of the computer monitor works quite well)

i have LCD computer screen so i can't do it that way. Oh ya and i put a cap full of vinegar just to be on the safe side.

Eh stick it in a dresser drawer or something it might take a little bit longer but is also a time honored method. There is also a water germination method floating around on the forums.

Are they out of the ground? If so you are in vegetative or growth state.

i have my seeds in a zip lock bag with a napkin with water with vinegar on top of my refigerator. how long will it take for them and how do i know theyre ready to put in some dirt and sand?

cyphercrash told me if i mix my dirt with sand 60/40 that would be good to use.

errr.... why vinegar? I would think the acidic content would be a little harsh for the young taproots. use plain old tap water IMHO cant go wrong.

so phing is over rated? i dont have a tester or whatever but i just put 1 cap full of vinegar then maybe 30mL of water.what does IMHO mean?

in my humble opinion. Take the seeds out wash the bag rinse the seeds get a new paper towel and repeat without vinegar to be on the safe side.

Good seeds should pop within 72 hours of initial germination (seen longer) go ahead and plant them when the tap root is roughly 2 centimeters tip of the taproot down regardless of seed orientation. The hole you plant the seed in is easily measured by poking a hole in the center of the pot with your index finger down to your first knuckle (about 0.75"-1") sprouting should occur within 72 hours of planting (also seen longer)

people were sayin to me that my water needs to be acidic so thats why i put some vinegar.
