Hi Double JJ...it's a beautiful place and while I would happily pay $40/night and would probably qualify for a bed, thinking limiting attendance might disappoint many. Your second event will attract far more than 100 people, since many "semi-local" West coasters would love a spring road trip. Unless management was overwhelmed, a second event at that beautiful lake, in warmer weather, sounds great to me.

I'm 40 miles from the Canadian border. Easy to bring oysters and salmon for the BBQ, and one of the greatest road trips on the planet (in good weather)!

Thanks buddy.....it was a 45 minute drive, that could've been 30 minutes on a dirt road, and several miles shorter, but there's no way through the back way anymore, at least not from my direction. I had to go way around, but it was still plenty close.

DJJ , I will pitch in for whatever and do the Cooking of the meats. I will see you next week in Santa Rosa. I doubt if any rental will allow smoking inside. Very few hotels still allow smoking inside. Limit it to the first 100 then set a reserve also a deposit date if you were not at the first one. Dont take this personal but I saw alot of folks commit and not show up to the first one or back out at the last minute. If the shoe fit wear it if not please leave it alone. dirrtyd

If we go for the bigger place, we would have to figure out a pre-payment plan. Maybe start a paypal account or something. Or rent a po box & have people mail checks or MO's. $40 is not a lot for to people pre-pay, but $4000 is more than I can under-write myself & hope to get back.

The smaller Delta party house, I could take the chance, but there's not as much room.

Im down for either place.......however can you trust 100 people to not damage that place? Just remember the bigger the party the bigger the mess and damage. I like Dirtyd's idea of deposit, i'd make it non refundable.

Yosemite Bug hostel.... can smoke there.... just not a good idea to inform them of the "purpose of the get together... especially because the local kids would storm the place looking to get high and fed for free lol.... I have met the owner and know most of the staff... all heads :) smoking has never been an issue there.... been to many parties and get together there the were 100 plus people. Rates are fair too... and plenty of sleeping accommodations are available there and within just a couple miles locally. Its the perfect time of year then to go rafting on the river that's just 10 minutes away... will look into prices etc.

The purpose of this thread is to organize a spring get-together. 420 next year is on Friday!

I am currently looking for a place for us. As soon as I find 'the right place' I'll book it. Might be around $15-$20 per person to rent a nice vacation house for the whole weekend!
Worst case, we will meet at Camp Far West!

So, mark your calender's for 420 weekend!:eyesmoke:

You're giving people more than enough notice now! Be there or be square...... You can put me down for spoons/forks and knives again.... LOL... joking. Is there going to be a list of stuff again? I'll be bringing a lot more goodies next time!

If you're going to be renting a place, you can put me down to help out. I'll throw down a few hundred dollars towards the rental!

I just thought we might like something with a roof for 4/20. Maybe save the camping for this summer.

Well I found out the Delta Party House, is available on 420!
I just sent the owners an email explaining what we had in mind (including prop215). :eyesmoke:
I'm waiting for a quote back

I figured we would rather he turn us down up front, than have any drama on 420

Yes I did, the Yosemite would cost a lot more. But a really neat place.
The Yosemite place, people would just make their own reservations
