That's exactly what I'm planning to do Unnk. I figure I can put a couple in flower and run 2 rounds of hybrids through the flower room while the sativas take their sweet time. Whatever yield comes off of them will go right into the "only share with very close friends who I owe a favor" jars...
:fire:
I have family in Denver,my x has a med card.
The end of November and December is when the fresh harvest usually shows up in Tx.
I made some calls,it's here.
I'm new to posting on forums,in the last 3wks i got 3 emails saying back ground checks have been run on me.This is not the only forum i belong to.Can anyone shed any light on this.

Hello,

Can anyone enlighten me to any information they may have regarding this "rare" strain that hearkens back to the 1970s?

I have recently acquired an exorbitant amount of pristine seeds that although old, are some really incredible land race strains from the 70s and 80s.

One of these seed batches are called "Meshmican"....and this name is new to me.

Can anyone help me out? I am looking for solid and reliable information about this specific strain.

Thank you RIU!
i wish i had those seeds, early 70's strain that would confuse(great sativa) with the most seasoned smokers.great bud, dude, good luck .

I forgot about this thread .
I was growing a couple red hair Oaxacan that were started outdoors so they were in soil.
I brought them in my hydro room to grow next to my table...i knew better of course F N bugs ate 2 sets of seedlings and i threw the mex out and had to use chemical warfare on the whole house scrub everything down...my dumbass!

If those seeds you have are the Michiocan from the indians the weed is almost black they still grow it to this day its killer weed not many people left know about that weed.I had forgot about the black i havent seen that since i was 14-15 in 71-72...we called it mishy pecan b/c we couldnt pronounce the name and didnt a have a clue it was a mex state.

Theres alot of different weed that comes from Michiocan from killer brown to a lot of average comercial.

Almost no weed comes from there anymore my man thats the killing fields now... meth mountains bro they chop heads there.. the Zetas dont play.

Thats were the meth makers college is LOL every young mex boys dream is to cook in the mountains in Michiocan or be sent down the pipe line to Cali to cook in the valley...they aint thinkin about no weed LOL tweak ...no columbians to pay and nothing to grow.. pure profit.

killer brown, i remember that, can't say for a fact that it was Michoacan, back then all kinds of names and not so clear where it really came from
one batch of brown i remember had a kind of sparkle to it, shiny looking, very seedy, intense spicy taste and superb high

Cool to see the responses still coming in.

To this day, I still have not grown out these seeds, although they are still stored away in my possession.

If I do ever decide to run with these beans, I will be sure to keep this thread informed.

Meshmican was the only good Mexican weed back in the 70s. Street Mexican was nasty stuff that many got headaches from. I'm not from anywhere near Mexico, but I loved Meshmican. I don't know if it was true, but was told that it grew in some Mexican mountain range and was only harvested for two weeks of the year. It was not the highest high, but it came on in almost no time and took you on a roller coaster ride. Back then, I bred it to cross with Colombian Gold which, along with Hawaiian and Nam, were the preferred highs of that time where I lived.
Gold took anywhere from 20 minutes to half an hour to kick in with any force, but was powerful when fully on. By breeding them together, I would get a high that came on immediately, went to the top of Meshmican/base of Gold, then went up on the roller coaster from there, without even the lag time for Gold to kick in, and never came down on the roller coaster below the top of Meshican's own roller coaster ride. Sometimes, I could be on that roller coaster for 4 or 5 hours, climb into bed and wake up still high 6 or 8 hours later. If not for my divorce and having to live in apartments, I'd probably still be growing it today.
Hope that helps.

I got a hold of a friend in Mexico and like growone said it is spelled Michoacan and yes this is what you are looking for and me too. Some day my buddie will make to that region, or so i hope. Aloha
Mesh Mecan has nothing to do with Mexico. It is a byproduct of the United States Military activity in Southeast Asia during and after the Vietnam War. It along with Thai Sticks were popular imports from returning US military. I believe that the Mesh Mecan was from Cambodia or Laos, until the social unrest of that region isolated them from the Western Civilization. Who knows if the Communist Party of these respective states didn't eradicate the crop from the country's ecosystem during their years of regime rule.. But comparatively with Thai was twice the potency. It disappeared pretty suddenly. But in answer to your original question, it was a sativa that US soldiers had access to in the 1970s in the US colonization attempt in Southeast Asia.
