Mekong Haze

100% Sativa, pure Cambodian landrace

The Mekong Haze is a pure landrace Sativa strain from Southeast Asia. Although it may take up to 18 weeks of flowering time to complete, it is truly a pure breeding strain. This variety is very uplifting and clear headed. The Sativa high and flavor is very apparent and motivating. It makes you want to do things under her influence. Using this variety for your own research and breeding purposes will prove to be worth it's value. The Mekong Haze is ideal for making F1 hybrid crosses with other Delta-9 Labs varieties. Having great patience with this variety will certainly reward you when the nurturing is completed. http://www.delta9labs.com/index.php?m=strains&g=mekong-haze
Now as many would understand, I am quite fond of the Sativa, especially landrace Sativas. I would like to know from anyone who has smoked/grown the Mekong Haze to know if it is worth growing. Flowering is long, from 15-18 weeks, but I have heard it is the closest thing to the lost thai landraces.

that looks tasty man, like itll mekong you on your ass...
Sure does man, and I fucking love they way it grows. Long thin Sativa leaves with slender pink/purple buds.

By the way, if anyone knows of any other landrace Sativas online (reputable breeders/banks) let us know please :D

If you can put up with the long flowering period, Mekong Haze seems like a stella grow! http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/delta-9-labs-mekong-haze/prod_43.html
Only come in reg seeds however...

I have heard GHS strain hunters dept are releasing landrace sativa's from africa, india and the carribean within the next 6 months, so looking forward to that.

Hey man i haven't finished reading the thread, but Holy Smoke Seeds have Pure African Landrace Sativas from Mozambique, Malawi, and Malanje. They are All Out at Attitude right now though. i Was blessed to get Two of Each of those--Mozambique Poison, Malawi Gold, and Malanje Gold--with a special last year. But i am sure you could find them some where. i caN't wait to grow them!!! i just want to get a good hand on the basics first.

i KNOW! me Too! i doN't think i have Ever smoked a True Sativa. But i am Dying to! And all these kids around here, well Most, only grow for the dough instead of sharing delicious bread.

i can deal with anything as long as it looks fantastic and is fantastic in the end. :)
Haha! Yeah i know, me to. Though i must admit, if it does look fanstatic yet isN't i would Much rather have ugly bud if it had the Best Effect.!.

I am currently selecting males of Mekong haze to cross with Purple Paintjob, an F3 indica i made of Hindu Kush x Purple, this strain turns whatever i bred with a deep purp. should be interesting.

Yeah, I lived in Cambodia for a while, Thailand too,Vietnam as well. Cambodian weed is the best of the there. Viet weed is good, but lurker weed is good enough that I would smuggle It back to nam just for head stash. Never grown that exact strain ,but have grown landrace Cambodian. Its as you would guess very talk, long flowering, and very heady. A lot of the bud out there can have a fruity flavor too if grown right

Sick, just what i wanted to hear! I've heard about bad germination rates but maybe i just feel lucky, since i plan on having some actual selection to pick from. Both males and females i would love to cross into my more indica dominant clones i keep and see what F1 hybrids i can manufacture in my basement :D

while i don't know about cambodian strains, i know about landrace south indian ones...and damn some of those seeds take a helluva long ass time to germinate and then pop the soil and then start growing...they are also very very easy to kill by overwatering, landrace strains from the equator are just different, i'm guessing the overwatering has something to do with the plants seeds' release times in the wild coinciding with very very dry weather? at least that's how it is here, at about 12 lat. most friends i gave seeds to killed them just by overwatering. but once they start growing vegetatively, if you could actually see through the soil, you'd be surprised at how dense the root system gets if given the space. I'm not talking about styrofoam cups here, i germinate my landrace indian seeds in a half gallon pot, just because that's the ideal amount of space for the roots to spread without limiting them or wasting any space...i'm really keen on growing this mekong haze in a winter grow...
