Been holding off on pictures as nothing too exciting is going on... i mean it is, but it's only noticeable after a few more days ;). Anyway, more and more orange hairs are popping up, buds are getting REAL fat, and of course, frost keeps appearing. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Watered her last night with plain water, gonna feed her one more time then it'll be straight ph adjusted water. Not sure if I'll need to actually flush or do you guys think just watering her for ~2 weeks will be enough before harvest? I've only fed her like 4-5 times.

Last but not least, pics. Enjoy,

IMO if you cure her correctly, and don't rush it.....you'll be perfectly fine to feed her till the end. I always feed regularly, and just use ph'ed water for the last 5-7 days.

Good to know.

Here's a sneak peak on what i think might be the highest yielding branch:

Yeah man, the last 2 weeks are the most crucial....that's when your plant packs on the most weight, as well as trichomes. Shorting her of food in this time, could allow you to lose out in both areas. A lot of growers like to use molasses in the last week. I just recently got molasses to try out a couple of weeks ago, and so far I absolutely love it! if you're not using molasses you need to head to walmart asap.

baking aisle? I looked at my local grocery but couldn't find any, walmart i have not checked though. Now that you mention it i think i might feed here today or tomorrow, and then a normal watering, then one last feeding with nutes (and if i get molasses that will last her all the way through to the end... i plan on harvesting around 60-65 days flower).

If I remember right it was next to the syrup....the name is Grandma's I think. Just make sure it's unsulphured. √

I use 2 Tbls / gallon of water....not quite sure how often you should use it, so I try and use it every other time....I'm pretty sure it would be safe to use every time though.

It looks like your plan has come together gb. I have to congratulate you on your patience. Everyone knows how critical it is to wait but not everybody can do it. What does molasses have to offer at this point? Does it have some p or k in it? Is it a taste thing? It sounds like a great idea and I will probably try it just because the wife has a couple of bottles in the cupboard for pecan pie. Way to grow GB...

not a myth, Ginger. the roots start strangling each other. i make a root-pruning pot, and let the air prune my roots. i form a 12 inch tall cylinder, from 1 inch poultry fencing, about 12 inches in diameter. i then form a grow bag from weed-block cloth. as the roots of the plant reach the outer perimeter, the air burns off the tip, and causes branching. they sell root-pruning bags, but i'm cheap, so i make my own.

Exactly....all root-bound really is, is a lack of oxygen to the roots. √

Meaning most of the time, there is a cure....or some kind of fix √

I'm not exactly sure the science behind molasses, but from what I understand it allows the plant to intake nutrients easier.....I'm sure it has extra sugars and carbs to add to the plant, so taste will more than likely be effected....Mostly, in my personal experience, once you add molasses those buds go plump, as if they were a hot dog getting boiled in a pot √ Now my buds are rock solid and fat as shit √

Yes i have definitely heard about air pruning. I'll be looking into some air/smart pots soon. If you have ever stopped by smokeyluv's thread ( https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/408624-thursday-night-chop-down-343.html ) he uses similar pots, but instead of chicken wire it is an old milk crate. I like the idea though because it will allow you to make the perfect size pot. I just need to find some of that cloth and make myself a frame... might just use my current pots cut down to size with LOTS of holes.

As far as the molasses goes, I've heard it promotes the growth of microbacteria (the good kind i think...) something liek that, they feed off the sugars. and obviously, more sugars/carbs for the plant but i also "heard" from a random thread that its all bullshit because they plant cant break down the carbs... one person says one thing, another says another... I DID however, see someone post the nutrition facts of their molasses and it appeared to have a low amount of cal and mag, so there is always that haha. I see many, many people recommending it, so as long as you dont over do it i dont see any harm... Just remember that ANYTHING can be toxic at high amounts (even water and air for us humans.)

edit: ya definitely not in the baking/sugar aisle of wally world. I'll try looking for maple syrup next time and go from there...

dude best reflectors are emergency blankets they reflect all light and keep in like 85% heat but you gotta have a ventalation plan

my ventilation is covered lol. Flat white paint is just as good if not better than emergency blankets. Paint is much easier to work with than having to tape/tack something else up, just my opinion. This cab was somewhat rushed as the plant was quickly outgrowing its old container (the rubbermaid).

edit: just realized you meant reflectors not wall covering. For now i prefer no reflectors as i move my lights around a lot (not just up and down, i'll rearrange the sockets and what not) and yes, extra ventilation is needed so the heat isn't trapped. I'm looking into purchasing a 150 or 250w cfl with hood for my next grow.

So... been chillin today smokin on some good ass purp, unsure of the actual strain but damn is it frosty. Also, was lookin at the girl and started to notice some of leaves (just the upper sugar leaves for the most part) turning a slight purple/red/pinkish color along the edge. Overall the leaves are starting to look lighter and lighter, with a few lower leaves already yellowing and falling off, but it's only on the upper leaves that i see this... is this a deficiency or does this look like a more natural color change? I have pics but it was hard to get a good shot of it. It's pretty subtle.

250w √√√ You'll definitely wish you would have after using the 150 √

edit: Have you been giving her enough Mag? if so, I'd say she's just purty ;)
