I completely agree with you. That is why I am pretty strong on mixing amendments into the soil and then adding bottled nutes. Iguana juice is primarily what you brew up (fish emulsion and some others but I can't think. Right now ha ha) sometime it does seem like the quality, not only in taste but also in potency, is better with my 100% live organic soil (no bottles) but as you said it is not worth the trade off. I usually average about 5-8 now with the strains i run but with that mixed soil it is n the lower side of that number...sometimes even less.

lower yields is why organic is more expensive to grow. that fish emulsion tea works wonders on the plants, but the effects dont kick in until about a week and a half after feeding and it stinks like shit literally. that is one thing about organics, it takes lots of planning or an entire system to be successful. lately i have been reading a lot about veganics. Matt Rize on here is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to veganics and full melt. check out his threads, that guy worked with kyle kushman who started veganics.I completely agree with you. as far as pro goes, i mean grow as my full time job. i am wary of making any long term plans though with so much up in the air. i think i will wait to see how things go in court before i make any bold decision. eventually i would like to start a true collective for patients, that does not steal their grow rights or rip them off with medicine prices. i would love to have a large enough operation to start a new trend, the $30 eighth.

I am also kinda postponing until I have enough funds to be able to fight in court, if anything happens to go sour. Lawyers are expensive ha ha cost me a few grand just so he answers every time I call and/or need him. But that is that, I have a collective in mind as well. Slightly different but in this industry that is what I'll be labeled as so that is okay. In order to do it right, unfortunately, you kinda have to use their grow rights in order to stay in compliant with state law...California is the same way. As my lawyer had stated and reasonably makes sense, but if 20 people rights to grow are in me are, it's easier to contain then having one big area including 20 more small areas connected to that big op.
As far as veganics goes, I have been reading on it for years and it has always crossed my mind. Since the system has been running well, I have been getting bored, mixing the same stuff, training the same way etc... So that is why veganics has crossed my mind many times. I will definitely be running a full veganic grow here in the near future. I have a couple plants right now receiving bio canna Flores, vega and bio boost. They have been looking fantastic! Can't wait to see the end result.
Mine and your goal aren't far off. I want to be ale to offer free medicine to those who qualify and to everyone else about 10/gram. Maybe cheaper depending n how much these veganics cost me in the end. So far I've spent close to $700 just on those 3 nutrients...pretty damn expensive if I don't say so myself!

Is using COCO coir the same as Soil?? you just water more often???? how is it like hydro?
What are some good non organic nute lines? i cant seem to find any, or figure out the difference.

No coco coir is basically "passive hydro" kind of like hempy buckets which are just 100% vermiculite or perlite using the hydro nutes. The feeding schedules are the same as drip to waste hydro. You water them like soil so its pretty much like soil except you would use hydro nutes.
Best kind of Hydro nutes? Thats one of those touchy subjects. If you understand N-P-K ratios it really doesnt matter what nutes you use but if you are lazy or a newb grower you can just buy entire nute lines and feed close to their nutrient calculator. Some of the better brands are Botanicare ( Manufactured in Phoenix) , House and Garden ( Netherlands ) , Advanced ( good but expensive ) , Ducthmaster , General Hydroponics ( Been around like 30 years), Canna Nutes ( Netherlands) Those are some of the more popular synthetic nutes and they all do their job.
I havent been growing that long like about 5 years, didnt start hitting hard until 3 years ago. I would just grow one or two lame plants.

I would slightly disagree... If you are running Pure coco Coir is similar to growing in soil...
The only difference is you MUST add Nutrients to the watering schedule because coco is neutral and has NO nutritional value what so ever..
I have not had any problems with mold or diseases since I switched from Ebb & Flow setup with rock wool and hydroton... Very shitty compared to Pure coco coir grows....
I use Biotanicare Nutrients because they are in Chandler... CNS 17 & Power Plant series.. Thinking about using the Power Flower series Next!

I agree no mold/algae with coco .. I too want to switch to Botanicare because they are based out of Phoenix, AZ area and most of their studies and test runs probably were done in the AZ climate. Plus they have a good reputation.

Biotanicare is NOT loaded with calcium like some nutrients... I use tap water which has close to 200PPM calcium and about 100PPM magnesium..
I have had problems with other nutrients because they are loaded with calcium...
I do NOT understand why SOOOOO many growers use RO water... You would be surprised how many beneficial trace elements are within tap water...
RO water is for drinking!!! And taking showers!!! And Flushing right before harvest!!
Using Tap water you can drop any Cal Mag expense... Or cut the use in half... Less chemicals in your feeding schedule the better!@!

I dont know dude my tap comes out 1000 PPM bring your PPM meter, plus I am the second owner of the house and it came with a home water sofeting system where you have to add salt every so often. The water comes out really soft like one drop of shampoo turns into a lot of shampoo so Tap Water is absolutely a "no go" for me.
I had good success with House and Garden even General Hydroponics ( salt build up with GH) , House and Garden is the cleanest synthetic nute line I have ever used just gets expensive for the base nutrients. I really like the fact Botanicare is in AZ and most of their products were used/tested in the desert.

From my understanding, most soils are coco based and/or peat moss based. So basically all the soil you use has coco in it, it is just in smaller amounts then pure coco coir. That is why I want to mix my own soil. Start with a good coco coir base, add in the vermiculite, EWC, dolomite lime, alfalfa meal and a few more...let it sit and then once a living soil, start using it. I am going to have to water almost every day as it will be an airy mix.
As far as non organic lines go I have found all of them to work pretty well. They all have similar ingredients it is really just preference. I have used nutri, GH, bontanicare, advanced etc. all have similar results with IMO, nutri had some of the best tasting yet smallest yield...GH has good yield and okay taste but IMO I can always taste GH (as I said before, SUPER PICKY). Bontanicare has always been good, I feel I like it more because of it being based in AZ. Great yields and decent tasting bud. I've stated this before, I DO NOT LIKE ADVANCE NUTRIENTS AS A COMPANY OR THEIR REPRESENTSTIVES, but I feel they have worked the best with an organic soil mix. It's a little pricier but hell isn't the saying, " you get what you pay for?" ha ha People always ask me how to get "dank" like mine...all I can say is PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL and KEEP IT SIMPLE. Those are the things I've always lived by in the growing world!
I haven't been growing all that long. I'd say a year or two of hitting the grow room at full speed! I was around some elite growers in Northern California for about 4 years. Helped trim, transplant, and basically all of the required chores to running a huge grow op. in all reality I was lucky. Got chosen to trim for some heavy growers, after helping them they said I had "potential" and basically took me under their wing...they were running a perpetual of about 80 plants so it wasn't easy but I learned a lot and have much respect for the underground grow world. Some of the best people and most trustworthy people I have ever met has been in this industry. Anyways that is where I got my knowledge, experience etc... I don't claim of growing for many years because that wasn't the case. I was helping at someone else's grow op for close to 4 years but it WASN'T MINE.

My tap water is 550ppm. Absolutely terrible water so I refuse to use it. I mix in dolomite lime into my soil that helps my plants receive the cal/mag needed...it also works as a ph buffer. Anyways, I have always wanted to use house and garden just never had the opportunity to run them. With how pricy H&G are, why not try canna? They have specific nutes for coco and so far I'd have to say these nutrients are by far the cleanest I have ever run. Very little, to no salt buildup at all. I guess it has it's beneifits being plant based nutrients.

I heard House and Garden Owner used to work for Canna Nutes back in the day and he broke off from his partner ( Canna ) and started his own line which is H&G, they are similar nutes from the same part of the world. I was about to try Canna it was a toss up between Canna and H&G.. Home Grown in Tempe had just started selling Canna shit and they were short one product so I just went with H&G. H&G for the entire line was a little over 300.00 base nutrients and additives.. I can tell you this much Roots Excel is the best rooting nutrient any nute company makes. I notice a lot of people using it with their own nute system.
No way in hell I can run my tap water to feed my plants that water softener will kill my plants.

Damn I didn't know that. Pretty interesting for sure. I haven't been using really anything but base nutrients...but even then, with canna it costs me about 4-700 per grow just in base nutes.

yeah it gets expensive but like you said dude you get what you pay for. I dont mind paying high nute prices because they do a lot of the work for you. Those online nutrient calculators help but they make you add too much base additive I learned to cut the measurements in half there is no need for that high of a PPM. Not too many places carry H&G because I found out through the owner of Gonzo grow that to be a distributor the stores have to buy an inventory of no less than $20,000.00.

My personal room is 7'x6'x8 feet high. I use 2kw lumatek w/ hortilux bulbs in great white hoods. I am working on a "picture perfect" room that'll be put together beginning of next year. But two other rooms I have are a 8x10x9 with 4kw badass ballasts w/ badass bulbs in two raptors and 2 magnums. And last but not least a 12x10x9 with 6kw lumatek w/ hortilux and digilux bulbs great white hoods.

Yeah add nutes with every watering, to me the only time I see explosive growth in hydro is from DWC they will grow twice as fast in veg compared to something like Flood and drain hydro. Best way to learn is to just ask. I grow coco with synthetic nutes so does Phx Fire. The only difference is he uses 100% coco coir and I use 100% coco chips.
